echolily Finds her own Sound on New Single Michelle's Imagination (blue)

The new single by echolily describes an artist's journey through writer's block starting with the frustration and pressure of an audience waiting in anticipation

Michelle's Imagination (blue) by echolily was inspired by a microphone. The song describes an artist's journey through writer's block. It starts with the frustration further increased by the presence of an audience waiting in anticipation. As the writer continues to stare into her microphone (nicknamed Blue), she finds herself at the end of a writer's block, transported to the other side. It is significant to me because I want to showcase the answer to "What's on the other side of a writer's block?".. Every synth sound is designed to the tiniest detail to represent the whirlwind of emotions while making a song. Influences: Portishead, Tokimonsta, Jamie xx

Finding my Sound...

After years of writing mainly acoustic songs and usually within my bedroom, I have finally found the "sound" that I want to showcase to the world. Influences: Tokimonsta, Portishead, Jamie xx, Flight Facilities,m83. Message to the audience: this is partially instrumental, quite experimental, and hopefully brings you into the artists' story and their journey of making a song.

Most excited about releasing this second single. The first single, "under the clocks (stay) released three weeks ago, already garnered 50K streams on Spotify and 800K streams on Soundcloud! I am currently working on my debut album, releasing mid or end of this year!

About the Artist.. 

Music has always been a part of my life, except I have been more of a bedroom musician. I have written film scores and soundtracks in the past but never really found the sound that I wanted until I discovered synthesizers and music production a little more than a year ago. Synths inspire me to make music that would break out of my little echo chamber.
