I'm still not planning on watching the new season whenever it comes out, but I miss 911.

I miss what it was before the 2nd Lab Rats episode.

I miss being able to rewatch the entire series without the thought of "they're gonna fuck all this up for no reason" constantly hanging over my head whenever something fun happens.

I might come back if they bring Bobby back within the first 3 episodes, but if not then I'm forever done with this series and will never forgive Tim Minear for how much he fucked up a great show.

You know what I want?

I've been thinking about this for a while, but I want the firefam to deal with a loss again

And I don't mean I want one of them to die, I mean I want them to go to an emergency where they try to save someone and fail, and I want it to H U R T.

Not just hurt the team, but hurt the fans as well!

As of right now, I can only think of 3 times where 911 has done this:

Motorcycle accident

Escalator

Cello Player

And I think they pulled this off by having the characters actually acknowledge that they lost someone.

After the motorcycle guy died after having that beautifully heartbreaking phone call with his son, Bobby steps away and you can very clearly see he is NOT okay. So much so that Athena noticed and took a moment to sit with him on the curb (which helped kickstart them going out but that's not what we're talking about right now)

After the team gets back from the escalator accident, they're all quiet and somber, and as Chimney removes his gear, we watched as he notices the guys blood was still on his shirt. To this day, I guarantee you there are still people afraid of escalators because of that scene. I would know, I'm one of them.

Hen fucking breaks down after hitting the cello player with the ambulance and she finds out she's D.O.A, and she CARRIES THAT WITH HER for multiple episodes.

It also helped that we got to see everyone's stories before the accidents happened. They were just regular people going about their days, living their lives, when tragedy struck, and maybe that's what the show has been missing for a while.

Another one I can think of is Emmett's death in Athena Begins but I won't get into that cause it hits a bit too close to home for me and it wasn't a call the team had to respond to where anyone tried to save his life.

Yes it's a drama, but there's no bigger drama than real life and with people you know or have a connection with. Imagine someone said "Stacy got in a car accident!" but you have no idea who Stacy is. You'd probably just feel bad for them and hope they're okay, right? Now imagine someone said "(Your Best Friend's name) got in a car accident!" Now how would you feel?

Panicked? Worried? Wondering if they're okay? Are they alive? Are they hurt? Where did it happen? When? Can you see them? How bad was it?

That's because you know them and have a connection with them, and I think that's what 911 is missing when it comes to these deaths. I originally started writing this after the Halloween episode aired and Denny got hit by the car and died temporarily. I noticed that the Vice Principal (? It's been a while since I've seen that episode now lol) died too, except his death was permanent. The team saw he was dead and then moved on to Denny who was still alive and more important. Not saying that Denny wasn't important, or that they should've taken time to mourn the Vice Principal(?), but me noticing how they just glossed over his death made me realize they've been doing that a lot lately, and it made me think about times where they didn't do that.

And then I thought about the last time they tried to make you feel bad about someone being dead, the mom who had bad memory and accidently killed her son, and I was wondering why it didn't feel as impactful as it could've. They did it again (I think) with Maddie feeling bad about telling the kidnapper to kill themselves, but I felt it was undermined by them constantly using a voice changer, and me being confused and taken out by Maddie actually telling someone to kill themselves on a 911 line (also with the person being someone you've never seen or genuinely heard without the voice changer, it was hard to "connect" with them in any way for that to really hurt)

Not saying this is a need, but I just remember when 911 would make me cry and hurt and help me deal with it, and I just think they should do it again. Season 8 is the 2nd season 911 has had under ABC, and I really don't want those emotional moments to have only been a FOX thing. To boil it down, we need to meet the extras, get an idea of who they are, watch them die, and have the team take the time to deal with their deaths. I don't know if we'll have anything like that for season 8B, but hopefully we'll get something for season 9 🤞🤞🤞

Again, not a need, just a strong want about something I've noticed and want to experience again.

Alright I finally decided to watch the latest episode of 911 and oh my god?

It was so good???

Literally minus the fact that Bobby's still "dead" and we have people talking about missing him, it felt like what 911's supposed to be?

Silly small emergencies sprinkled throughout the episode from a big one that gets dealt with a bit later, plus lots of focus on our main characters (also there was so much Karen it made me happy and I almost screamed when I saw Chris and Tía Pepa)

Literally just take away the fact that Tim Minear wants Bobby to be dead, and have Athena's beef with Chim be that she's mad she almost lost her husband and is trying to deal with it. Although Eddie and Buck's conversation about when Eddie got the news wouldn't be as powerful, but as good as that scene was, it just pissed me off cause Fuck Tim Minear for putting the characters through this for no fucking reason

(also the beginning made me want to cry and curb stomp Tim's face into the pavement before going back to feeling pissed)

My thoughts can be summarized as this:

The episode was great, but it shouldn't have been at the expense of Bobby's "life"

"life" in quotations cause he's clearly still alive and coming back next episode

Okay!!!! That episode was pretty full with things I loved and hated!!!!

Let's break it down shall we?

Now that that's out of the way, let's talk about the episode!

I know I said this last time but I can't fucking stand Eddie's parents, especially his mom. The way she takes what you said and twists your words to make it seem like you're the bad guy or you don't know what you're doing is such bullshit. I hate people like her. I would know because I've lived with people like that my entire fucking life.

'I told you I was cooking' "Oh did you? Well, you know there'll be more options!" "Maybe I can get you an extra honor roll sticker for your car! Unless your work doesn't allow drivers to have those things." "Yeah they have the big chess tournament this weekend! I'm sure I told you?" "And they're only allowing one parent to go this year, so your father's going with him"

"What are you doing? Stocking up for a sugar crash? Are these really the healthiest choices you can make?" 'Not for me, I'm delivering them.' "Well, I suppose that's better than thinking that's what in your cupboards when Christopher comes to visit" 'About the chess tournament, what if Dad takes the weekend off and I take him?' I do hate how they made him kiss her forehead and promise to call later. I get that's his mom and all, but you're allowed to cut people out of your life, and you're allowed to tell your parents to fuck off if they're being overbearing or just pieces of shit. YOURE ALLOWED TO DO THAT!!!! You don't have to forgive people who have hurt you and the people you love just because they're related to you!

Eddie's parents were bad ever since he was a kid and have been trying to take Christopher away from him ever since Christopher was born. Then when the thing with Kim happened they saw their chance and swooped in to take him. They fed into Chris's anger at the time and let him move in with them, which, by the way, they couldn't disrupt their peaceful, retired lives and move to LA, but they were willing to disrupt Christopher's life and move him to El Paso, and then his mom has the nerve to say EDDIE is disrupting Christopher's life by making him move back in with him STILL IN TEXAS???? SHE CAN FUCK RIGHT OFF THANK YOU!!!!

I am glad that Eddie F I N A L L Y stepped up and TOLD Chris he was moving back with him! I guess it took his son barfing at a place he didn't even want to be at because of nerves for him to finally do something, but hey, better late than never! And Christopher saying "You'll be my dad again?" made me 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 HE NEVER STOPPED!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Another thing I fucking hated:

HOW THE FUCK DID EVERYONE FORGET HEN'S BIRTHDAY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I'm almost temped to take off 2 points for that. I get that they said Karen mixed up dates and didn't know because the kids schedules kept changing, and that can be difficult especially with another kid, but what was Chimney's excuse?? He's her B E S T F R I E N D!!!! You're telling me he just forgot his best friend's birthday??? My best friends birthday is in 2 days and you better fucking believe I'm gonna wish him a goddamn happy birthday!

I thought everyone was part of a surprise they were gonna throw for Hen when no one but Athena wished her a happy birthday, especially when Toni called Hen on her walk. BUT NOPE! We're just gonna make every single character except for Hen, Athena, and Eddie forget that it's Hen's birthday because fuck her apparently 🥰🥰🥰

It doesn't matter if it's silly or serious, if you care about something and are upset it got ruined, then the people who quote unquote "love you" shouldn't try to make you feel bad for getting upset! It should matter to them because it matters to you, and Hen's birthday mattered to Hen.

I already said this but it was fucking ridiculous that Toni didn't remember Hen's birthday, made excuses, did the whole "I birthed you so you should be celebrating me" bullshit, and undermined Hen's feelings when she was genuinely upset no one remembered her birthday and told her she was being silly for it.

ACTUALLY FUCK OFF

If Hen was excited and wanted to do something for her birthday but was upset all her friends besides Athena (idk if Eddie sent her a message or anything) forgot it was her birthday FUCKING LET HER BE UPSET!!!! SHE HAS FEELINGS AND SHE IS ALLOWED TO BE UPSET IF SOMETHING HURTS HER!!!!!! The fact that the show had the audacity to make Toni tell Hen she was being silly actually pissed me off so much you don't even understand!

I'm gonna say this one more time: If something matters to you, doesn't matter what or how ridiculous it is, then it should matter to the people who care about you.

When one of my cousins was just learning how to walk, they would carry a rock around with them everywhere because they liked it. I didn't like the rock because it was dirty and it smelled and it made things messy and every time someone tried to clean it they'd start crying. But you know what? Every time my cousin had to be taken away to go to the bathroom or get cleaned up or something, you better fucking believe I protected that rock with my life because it was important to them.

That was a rock and a toddler. This was a fucking birthday and an adult woman. Toni can go choke on a cactus as well🖕🖕🖕

The cops were really fucking stupid. I get they have protocol and whatnot, but the protocol is stupid too.

The guy hijacked a bus with a knife, not a gun, a knife, and the cops got text messages from the passengers saying he's got the driver at knifepoint and making them drive still on the route. So knowing the guy has a knife, not a gun, a knife, and it's potentially at the driver's throat... they decide to throw down a spike trap and set up a barricade for the bus to crash into...

Even if it was a gun that's still a bad idea!!!! Going over the spike trap and crashing into the barricade would cause a lot of commotion, and if someone had a gun they could accidentally misfire and end up killing someone. Oh, but because it was a knife, it was definitely safer because there's no possible way something small and sharp could slip out of the person's hand and cut someone, or make them accidentally slit someone's throat open, or like in the episode, make someone accidentally get stabbed. No guys there's NO WAAAAY anything like that could EVER happen with someone holding a weapon. Go on and make the bus rock and shake and bounce as much as possible, I believe in you 🥰

It would've been better if they had the cop cars or even the firetruck drive in front of the bus and have them hit them and slowly brake until the bus is forced to stop, that way it won't jerk and rock and bounce and swerve all over the place and people won't accidentally get fucking stabbed. I know that's not really believable but it's a tv show, shut the hell up

Also they were stupid because the dude was pulling something out of his pocket and they immediately tried to shoot him before they could even see what it was. What if they shot Hen too? And why did it have to be multiple cops shooting at them?

"Oh but she's wearing a bullet proof vest so she would've been fine hehe 🤭" Shut up. "Oh but protocol and cops have to be paranoid because anyone could be carrying a fucking nuke in their pocket! 😰" Shut up. ...do I take off a point for this? A dude did end up getting stabbed because of the spike trap barricade thing, but he got treatment, and the cops being fucking trigger happy was stupid as shit, but in their defense they're trained to think of literally everyone as the enemy...

I'm sparing the point this time because it's not a show problem, it's a real life police problem. God I fucking hate police officers...

Chimney was Hen's first friend when she joined the fire station, they've been together through thick and thin, Chimney fucking set Hen up with her WIFE and made them start talking again after they'd got into an argument, Hen was there when a fucking rebar went through his head, they were both there when Hen crashed the ambulance into the cello player, Hen was there for him when he left to go find Maddie, they endured a fucking serial killer who actually killed Chim twice because he was obsessed with Hen's approval, Chim was there to step in when the councilwoman was trying to screw over Hen and Karen and fostered Mara for them without being asked, helped Hen save Denny's life when he got hit by the car on Halloween, Hen was there for him when Maddie went missing again and had her throat slit, called him her family, AND ALL HE DOES WHEN HE FINDS OUT HE MISSED HER BIRTHDAY AND SHES UPSET ABOUT IT WAS SEND SOME FUCKING WHIMSICAL BALLOONS???????

Oh my gosh I actually loved Archie 😭💖 He was just a guy who was having a really bad (2?) day(s?) but he actually managed to still find a way into my heart.

Dude lost his job, got crushed by a bed, found out his fianceé was cheating on him with his cousin of all people, didn't have heath insurance, got kicked out of his house, was living in his car, got stuck under a truck, his car got towed while he was sleeping in it, a box of his belongings got broken when someone bumped into him, he finally snaps and takes a bus hostage at knifepoint so people will finally pay attention to him, but he's actually kind of a disaster at social situations so he's awkward and uncomfortable the entire time 😭, and he didn't really want to hurt anyone but the (fucking stupid) spike trap and barricade made him accidentally stab someone and remove the knife so they were bleeding out, and when Hen gets on board he's worried about if he killed the guy he accidentally stabbed, he lets the dude he hurt and eventually everyone else get off the bus without much resistance, he gets off the bus even though he doesn't want to because Hen asked and it's her birthday, and because it's her birthday he even gives her a crappy keychain as a present 😭😭😭😭😭😭, AND HE LET HIMSELF GET ARRESTED!!!!!

This dude was such a disaster I love him so much I just want to give him a hug, he looks like he really needs it 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Also Eddie and Buck face timed a whole bunch this episode too, AND THEY WERE COOKING TOGETHER!!!! OVER THE PHONE BUT STILL!!!!! 😭💖😭💖😭💖😭💖😭💖😭💖😭💖😭💖

Decent episode! It would've been better if everyone was actually planning a surprise party even though Hen hates surprises. I would've taken that over them just forgetting it's her birthday. Alright I'm actually doing an essay for this one so that's a good sign!

THIS EPISODE WAS COMFY!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

It had just the right amount of light angst, things were going at good pace, it was funny, there was heart, and I was ENJOYING myself!!!!

The only negatives I had were Eddie's parents (specifically his mom cause holy fuck I hate that woman, the actress does an amazing job playing her) and the first call when Maddie lost her voice.

I get that Maddie told Bobby to look for a blanket and Bobby needs that confirmation, but I went back and looked, LITERALLY ALL OF THE WINDOWS WERE CLOSED EXCEPT FOR THAT ONE!!!! AND IT WAS PREVIOUSLY CLOSED AND HAD BEEN OPENED!!!! AND YOU COULD SEE THE SMOKE!!!! I know with words on a screen it probably sounds like I'm angry but I'm not. I'm actually laughing my ass off at how stupid it was 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Also you're telling me that the kid was in a room filling with smoke, standing next to a big ass window, and didn't bother opening it???? I know some windows in places like that don't open, but when it was revealed the kid just didn't even try, I did the biggest "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK" face 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

And the bad thing is, they could've fixed that so easily!!!! You wanna know how they could've fixed that? You really wanna know????

Have the window in the room already be open, and have multiple windows on the building be open too! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

That way the kid doesn't look like a complete dumbass for not opening the window, and it makes sense for Bobby to need the blanket confirmation since there'd already be multiple windows open and spewing smoke!!!!

It's literally that easy and it's so stupid and I'm laughing so hard!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 They really couldn't open multiple windows in that building??? Did they not have the budget for more windows to open???? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Because I'm laughing at that I'm not gonna take a point off for it. Yes it was frustrating seeing people acting stupid, but it's so funny that I can't get mad at it 😂

You know what I can get mad at though?

Eddie's parents 🥰

I hate them so much. Especially his mom. That moment they had when Eddie got Chris the PS5 and asked if he should set it up at their place or his, and then his mom went out of her way to list the bad things about Eddie's place and being passive aggressive until Christopher said it'd probably be better there and have her go: "Whatever you want 🥰"

She's such a bitch I hate her so much.

And then for his dad to compare what Eddie and Chris were going through with what he and Eddie went through was awful. They are not the same. Eddie's parents were horrible to him throughout his life and putting too much pressure on him to grow up too fast, Eddie has been nothing but loving and caring towards Christopher and made a dumbass mistake (that technically wasn't his fault, Kim showed up looking like Shannon on purpose out of the blue, it wasn't like he asked for that to happen) that made him want to move away from him.

Unless Eddie's dad was framing it as "We were horrible to you your entire life and you made one mistake in his. If you can forgive us for that, then he can forgive you for this." Which if he is, fuck right off. If he's not, still fuck off.

Other than that I loved this episode!!!

Maddie having serious trauma from having her throat slit, Chimney being a loving, supporting husband, Princess Jee-Yun 🥰🥰🥰, Eddie trying to get a job as a firefighter and the other captain telling him that Bobby said he'd have a job if he ever went back, when that job doesn't work out Eddie facetimed Buck- FACETIME NOT CALL, FACETIME!!!! Buck being his supportive self and reminding Eddie that he didn't go out there for a job he went there for Chris, Eddie being an Uber driver who talks about his life too much 😂 and getting tips from that one passenger on how to do the job properly, seeing Eddie working hard over time at the store until he's finally financially able to donate money to that kids thing I didn't get a good look at, the zoom court hearing where the Ozzy guy was trying to get out of driving with a suspended license, and he's driving with a suspended license while on zoom court with the judge 😂😂😂, Bobby not calling Ravi "Eddie" anymore and switching up the pairings, the Ozzy guy doing the right thing and turning himself in to Athena after getting saved 🥰🥰🥰, and his car landing on the cruiser 😂😂😂, Buck and Eddie facetiming so much this episode!!!! Athena stopping by Maddie's to hang out and give her a pep talk and saying she can always text her 💖💖💖, and then Maddie taking Jee to the park and when she loses sight of her, THAT BEING WHAT MAKES HER GET HER VOICE BACK!!!! 😭💖😭💖😭💖😭💖😭💖💖😭💖😭💖💖😭💖😭💖😭💖😭💖😭 Thank fuck Jee was okay too, cause if something actually happened that would've lead into the next episode, I would've screamed. EDDIE AND CHRISTOPHER FINALLY STARTED TALKING AND CHRIS TOLD EDDIE HES PROUD OF HIM AND WANTS HIM TO STICK AROUND!!!! AND THEY HUGGED!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 AND THEN MADDIE'S BACK AT WORK STILL A BIT NERVOUS BUT NOT LETTING THE MONSTER TAKE HER VOICE ANYMORE!!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

This was exactly the kind of episode I needed after not even finishing last week's episode cause I was so pissed and stopped enjoying myself. More episodes like this please. I get it's a high stakes drama show, but someone said, "Your readers will adjust to the darkness" and while they were specifically talking about writing angst for books/fanfics, it also works for tv. If everything was high stakes all the time, we'd become accustomed to it and they need to let us breathe

It's been a while since we've had low stakes in 911. I know we've had episodes with low stakes moments, but this was a low stakes EPISODE and I can't even remember if we've ever had one. And I'm not talking about a "fun" episode like the bank vault, or treasure hunt, or the one with the "jinx", or the other one with the "cursed" bracelet, cause this episode wasn't fun in that sense. It was just a nice, calm, comfy episode with a few funny moments sprinkled in for fun 🥰

Minus Eddie's parents cause fuck those guys🖕

Episode Rating: 🗣️ 9/10 🗣️

I'm not saying I want every episode to be like this one, because of course not. But what I am saying is, with how much stuff goes on in the 911 show, not only do they need to give their audience a break every now and then, but they need to give their characters a break too. They should have an episode like this maybe twice a season, one for each half they air.

Also I'm not counting season finales because those are supposed to wrap everything up in a nice little bow (most of the time lmao) and it shouldn't take an entire season for their characters to be able to breathe for a bit.

Fucking loved this episode! Can't wait to see what happens with Hen on the bus next week!

The emotions going through me during that episode... Oh god that was crazy.

Alright I'm gonna get what I didn't like about it out of the way so I can gush.

The missing persons lady, Amber, was unfortunately the worst part of this episode but not because of the multiple personality dissociative identity disorder thing. I get that they were trying to make her seem really smart like she tricked everyone, but in action it just kinda made her a bit of a dumbass?

She gives Chimney her card and tells him she's available day in and day out or whatever, but why say that when you know you're tormenting his wife, going to kill her, and don't want to be interrupted during it? Then she won't answer when Athena and everyone else tries to reach her, which, sure, she could've had her phone off for the time being, but again, if you're working an active missing persons case on someone who KNOW will have people looking for her, if you really want to seem innocent then your phone should be on and you should be taking the calls and pointing them in different directions. That would've made her seem more conniving, but instead it just made Athena and the other cops seem dumb for never putting two and two together.

THEN SHE GOES BACK TO THE HOSPITAL AND KIDNAPS THE GIRL AGAIN???? I get that it was to make Maddie have a second chance at convincing her to spare the girl, I get it, but also????? That's so fucking stupid! What if when you were taking the girl she recognized you and caused a commotion that got people's attention? Or let's say you chloroform her so she's quiet when you leave- no she wasn't chloroformed cause she walked into the basement. EITHER WAY!!!! HOSPITALS HAVE CAMERAS!!!! AND DOCTORS/NURSES WHO CHECK UP ON THEIR PATIENTS????? So what if a doctor or nurse came to give the food, saw she was missing, and checked the cameras to see she had taken her? Then what?

In fact, that's what I thought they were gonna do! Either that or have Athena and the other guy (I keep forgetting his name and I feel so bad 😭) want to go back to the girl to ask her a couple more questions to see if she remembered anything while they were gone, see that she was missing, and either ask a doctor/nurse where she was or check the cameras and find out Amber took her that way. But no, they found out because they went through old files and heard an old 911 call from her as a kid... What?

Also, Athena. The last time you saw Maddie was with this woman. And now this woman is missing. After she just took another case. Where she knows the police and friends/family are gonna want to get a hold of her to keep her updated on anything they find. And no one can get in touch with her. And NOTHING about that seemed suspicious???? "Oh well, I'm just gonna question these suspects we have and think nothing of it, I'm sure she'll turn up in her own time hehe 🤭"

That's the problem with Amber's character, they made everyone around her dumb as shit so she could look smart.

I actually don't mind that she had(?) Multiple Personality Disorder Dissociative Identity Disorder and part of me wanted them to explore that a bit, but the other part was glad they didn't because it could've painted people who have it in a bad light if they did too much and did it wrong. So... That whole thing was meh.

-1 point for the whole Amber situation of making everyone dumb around her.

You remember when that Jeffrey guy was getting arrested by the other detective who's name escapes me, and then the woman came up behind him and slit his throat? You remember what happened? The blood splattered on the window. Because that's what happens. Blood splatters like that when you slit someone's throat quickly. Don't ask me how I know.

I thought that was how Chimney was gonna find out she had hurt Maddie!!! I thought he would've noticed a couple blood drips on her sleeve or something and then have Athena call him. Why else would you have a character wear a bright ass white shirt if they're a violent serial killer if you AREN'T gonna have them get blood on it??? And you're gonna tell me. Not a single. DROP. of blood got on that shirt?

Other than that, HOLY FUCK THIS EPISODE TOOK ME ON A ROLLERCOASTER!!!!!

I'm so glad Chimney has the family he has. Hen and Karen (KAREN WAS IN THE EPISODE FUCK YEAH 💖🥰💖🥰💖🥰💖🥰💖🥰) bringing over Denny and Mara (MARAAAA 🥺💖🥺💖🥺💖🥺) for a late night playdate with Jee-Yun, ON A SCHOOL NIGHT MIND YOU, to make sure he knew Jee was in good hands while he tried to figure out what was going on without spiraling, Buck was already there but Eddie showing up too and the two of them helping cover more ground to see if they can find her faster. When they come up with nothing, Hen immediately calling Athena instead of trying to pass it off as nothing to worry about (like the Amber lady), MARA COMING IN CLUTCH TELLING HEN JEE TOLD HER MADDIE WAS TALKING TO SOMEONE CRYING!!!! WHY DIDN'T SHE SAY ANYTHING EARLIER??? SHES A KID AND PROBABLY DIDN'T KNOW SO IT'S OKAY!!!! WE GOT THERE EVENTUALLY!!!!!

Chimney being so worried about Maddie that when Amber isn't picking up her phone, instead of waiting for her to get back to him, HE GOES TO HER FUCKING HOUSE BECAUSE ITS THAT IMPORTANT!!!!! Howard Han the man that you are 💖

AND HE ACTUALLY SAVED THE KIDNAPPED GIRL BY SHOWING UP AT THE HOUSE!!!!! And when Amber knocks her out and tells Maddie she has to get rid of her husband, MADDIE FUCKING RUSHES HER AND TRIES TO STOP HER!!!!! (and fails and gets her throat slit but I already said my problems with that)

CHIMNEY KEEPS HIS COOL WHEN ATHENA TELLS HIM AMBER TOOK MADDIE AND CLEVERLY HUNG UP THE PHONE, only for Amber to already know and pull a gun on him, (again, if they hadn't made everyone dumb around her that would've been cooler) AND THEN MADDIE, WHO'S STILL ALIVE!!!!!! HIT HER IN THE HEAD AND KNOCKED HER DOWN, AND THEN FELL INTO HER HUSBAND'S ARMS BLEEDING OUT!!!!!

FUCKING SIRI OF ALL THINGS CAME IN CLUTCH!!!! IM SO GLAD CHIM IS A PARAMEDIC AND KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO SAY AND HOW TO KEEP MADDIE STABLE UNTIL THE AMBULANCE ARRIVED-

AND THEN AMBER GOT UP AND ALMOST SHOT HIM IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD!!!!!!

I screamed. I actually screamed "C H I M N E Y !!!!!!!!!" at the top of my lungs, full of fear, and panic, and oh my god.

AND THEN ATHENA CAME IN AND SHOT HER ASS!!!!!!

...oh my fucking god dude.

And then we're at the hospital and Chim tells Hen she should be with her family, and she rightfully shuts him the hell up by saying "What makes you think I'm not?" 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 The only slight problem I have with that is they've been shown to be best friends since the beginning, and he still didn't think of her as family? I guess they never outright said it so ABC wanted to change that, but it was super minor so I'm not taking points off for that.

And Maddie's okay! AND SO IS THEIR BABY BOY!!!!!

I can't wait to see how they handle Buck being away from Eddie, I wanna see how often he calls or texts, how often does Eddie call or text, is Buck gonna be distracted during work hours because he's missing Eddie so much, is he gonna be depressed (we already know the answer), HAS HE FINALLY FUCKING REALIZED HES IN LOVE WITH HIS BEST FRIEND?!?!? IS HE GONNA TELL MADDIE ABOUT IT AND WHEN??? How's Eddie gonna feel being apart from Buck? How often is he gonna think of him?? When he and Christopher start talking again, are they gonna talk about Buck??? Is Eddie gonna be insufferable and bring up Buck in every conversation that doesn't have to do with Chris????

"Oh man, this lasagna is great! You should try Buck's lasagna, his is incredible. It took him five tries to nail the recipe but it was worth it! Also he's been baking a lot too! Man I wish I had more of those things full of protein he made me for my trip here, those were delicious. He actually helped me get here by taking over my place while I'm gone. This episode was CRAZY!!!!!! I just wish the parts with Amber were handled better 💔 And I really think the Willy Wonka meme explained the episode pretty well for me, slow in the beginning, a bit dodgy in the middle, but holy shit that finale!!!!!!

Also now that they've done this, can they please leave them alone? PLEASE!!!! They've been through enough! Leave Madney and Henren alone please!!! You can mess with Athena and Bobby a little bit, but don't make it seem like they have nothing to talk about again. They've been together since season 2 and they really tried to say in season 7 that Athena was afraid of being alone with him in fear of having nothing to talk about outside of work 😭😭😭 It looks like we're dealing with Bobby's mother next episode so I'm curious about that!

You can do whatever to Buck, he's your punching bag for a reason lmao, BUT AT LEAST LET HIM OFF THE HAMSTER WHEEL THIS TIME!!!!! THATS LITERALLY ALL I ASK!!!!!

tumblr has been showing me your posts over and over and over and over today. because I like a lot of gelphie posts, because I like gelphie. so while your “little posts” aren’t clogging up the tag, the “based on your likes” algorithm is. the tag system has a function, and misusing it to serve your own wants while ignoring how it might be affecting other people really sucks.

If Tumblr's showing you my posts "over and over and over and over" in the "based on your likes" system, and I only have 5 (now 6) posts talking about Gelphie, that's not a me problem, that's a Tumblr problem

I understand that it can be annoying when you're browsing stuff you like and you come across something you dislike and it keeps happening, but again that's a Tumblr issue. The only reason I can think of why that's happening is because I posted my stuff within a few hours of each other, before I went to bed and after I woke up, and I guess Tumblr pulls random posts with tags either within 24 hours or within the week? Idk

Like I said before, if I'm gonna talk about something, I'm gonna put it in the tags. If I was really misusing it, I'd be flooding everything by tagging things left and right with the most random shit possible. And I know I'm not doing that because I've seen other people do it, and it's the most pretentious shit. I remember a while back I saw a post that said something like

"Man, the food I just ate was really good!"

And the tags were FILLED with stuff like "SPN, Sonic the Hedgehog, Dragon Ball, Hamilton, Bluey, Twilight, Barbie, Across the Spiderverse, Helluva Boss, Hazbin Hotel, Transformers One, (insert ship name here), (insert ship name here), (insert ship name here), (insert ship name here), etc." And all they did was mention how they enjoyed their food.

If you look at my blog you can see I very clearly watch and liveblog the show 9-1-1. I can not tell you how many times I've gone to the "Henren" tag (a ship between 2 wives) only to see posts where people have added the tag of a completely different ship in the show that is not even MENTIONED in the post in any way, shape, or form, but they added the other tag anyway. Or it's the reverse and the thing I'm looking for has nothing to do with the post.

THAT'S infuriating.

THAT'S misusing the tagging system to serve your own wants, and seeing stuff like that made me make the decision that I'd only tag something if I was talking about it

I'm putting the "Gelphie" ship tag because I'm talking about "Gelphie", I'm putting the "Wicked Movie" and "Wicked" tas because that's where Gelphie is from, I'm putting the "Elphaba Thropp" "Glinda Upland" and "Galinda Upland" tags because those are the people who make up Gelphie, I'm putting the "henren" "911 abc" and "911 show" tags because I briefly talked about them, and I'm putting the "Echoes Essays" and "Echo Answers" tags because I do stuff like this often and if people want to see more then they can.

I'm tagging it because I'm talking about it.
