Unpopular opinion:
The Mercedes Benz eCitaro is not a very good bus. I think it's nondescript design is boring, but more importantly, it's 2026 and they still deliver electric buses with the batteries hidden in a motor tower, because it's an electric drivetrain awkwardly grafted to a fundamentally diesel bus. That's four seats gone and replaced by a big cabinet for no good reason. VDL with their Citea shows what you can do when you design a bus to be electric from the start: Lower floor at the rear, more seats, just much better. Mercedes is nowhere near the leader here.
