Things weren’t any different from before, but it looked like there was something bothering him about their recent mission. Hands tucked away within the sorcerer’s pockets with eyes trailing off to the distance. He had no concept of how to grasp the situation, not when losses around Jutjusu High were a common occurrence. Every day was a case of one student who lost their lives to a high grade curse. Though they should have used better tactics, or even understood when to run away when they couldn’t face it. All it took was its curse energy to register by one of their teachers and they could deal with it. Megumi didn’t understand why his own classmate had to run into the buildings everyday, pretending to be this hero who could save every life. That was foolish thinking and was suicidal…no matter what courage he keeps spilling. Such a mentality made him quite angered, releasing it with a couple of punches to knock some sense into that thick head of his. Sighing softly, the recent incident drew out eyes that narrowed worse than before.
“Itadori, are you going to continue grieving over something you had no control over? There’s always going to be someone who pays the price no matter what efforts you have. Do you understand? We aren’t heroes, Itadori! Once you understand that…things will get easier for you to handle here.”
Jujutsu sorcerers were simply cursed humans who had cursed energy to wield and defend themselves from these damn curses. That’s all Megumi was, along with Itadori, despite his somewhat…pure wish to become a hero. He simply wasn’t meant for this line of work though he wasn’t about to lose his grip over someone who needed help. Maybe that’s all that mattered, they only needed each other, and simply protected what’s right in front of them. Yet the male couldn’t hope to change that line of thinking even with this incident that occurred. Standing up to his feet, one hand withdrew from his pockets before letting it rest against the other’s shoulder. “Sitting here isn’t going to take your mind off of things. Let’s go outside…maybe that will help clear your head, Itadori.”
