A month of waste reduction…..tougher than I thought!

So, just over a month ago we decided to try and be more eco friendly and try and reduce waste. I thought this would be pretty easy, and in a way it was, however in another way it’s been tough and we have lapsed quite a bit!

Eco bricks

Today I heard of something new (new to me anyway!). Eco bricks! A simple yet very cool way of using your rubbish instead of throwing it into the landfill.

From what I understand, eco bricks are basically plastic bottles stuffed with rubbish (non organic so plastic that can’t be recycled) until they are full and hard as a brick. You then use them to build anything you like! Such a simple idea but…

The landfills of Boiler wastes makes a terrible scene. I only hope the industry in India goes through some rapid changes before we reach a point of no return like so many toxic places in China.
