She sits--her skin not sallow like his, but vibrant, a clear peach tone that seems almost more vivid than it did on land. But perhaps that is just contrast. And maybe the pearls that fall from her hair are mere accidents, the work of hands too excited to feel the sunlight to be terribly concerned with hair--and not, as one might suggest, something entirely different. And the way her shift sags as she picks the pomegranate--little skin is shown, but enough so that you are terribly aware of where you stand, closer than you've ever been but so very far away. And as a scream rips from the heavens, you think you can see the smallest of smiles light her red lips.

But you are unsure of yourself where she is concerned, so you brush it off as a daydreamed fantasy.

That unreachable connection of his kiss ,

That melancholy feeling of not being Juliet,

That inevitable reality that I’m not good enough.

He’s looking at me;

Those inescapable moons surrounded by attractive gravity,

Those charismatic twins with mysterious intentions,

Those silver swans riding his sight,

Those icy clouds staring at me.

He’s holding his hands out;

Those sympathetic cradles fading away,

Those blue grasps grip me with love,

Those gentle tips stoking my nervous skin,

Those shocking chains imprisoning me,

And that shocking embrace finally embraced me.
