Francis Chan, author of Crazy Love, is one of the most popular authors and speakers within the evangelical church today. He has been the subject of a number of Lighthouse Trails articles based on his ecumenical activities as well as statements he made threatening that God will destroy those who challenge Christian leaders. Last week, ... [Read more...]
Francis Chan gave a sermon promoting the Catholic view of communion (i.e., the Eucharist).
"[T]he Catholic Church’s doctrine of the Eucharist is based on the concept of transubstantiation, a belief that the Catholic priest has the power to turn a wafer of bread into the actual body, soul and divinity of Jesus. [This is] the very foundation of the Catholic faith." -Roger Oakland
The doctrine of the Eucharist is anti-biblical. Nowhere in the Bible did the LORD claim that He would come down from the right hand of God by the command of a fallible priest to be physically eaten. This is a ridiculous heresy. Moreover, the Roman Catholic Church puts a curse on anyone who believes otherwise. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states:
"If anyone says that Christ received in the Eucharist is received spiritually only and not also sacramentally and really, let him be anathema (curse)."
Francis Chan is a false teacher as he is praising anti-biblical doctrine. Beware of ecumenism.

Christians around the world will be praying “Thy Kingdom Come” as individuals, in churches, in ecumenical gatherings and beacon events.
***WARNING: Ecumenism***
Be not deceived, this false "Thy Kingdom Come" movement/event is ecumenical. Nowhere does Francis promote the true will of God, or the true purpose of prayer. Instead he embraces to 'widen our hearts' and to calls for a false 'spiritual renewal'.
Please remember what the Holy Scriptures have to say about our hearts and prayer, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9). Should a deceitful heart be widen? God forbid! Next, when we pray, who does God listen to? To everyone? "The LORD is far from the wicked: but He heareth the prayer of the righteous." (Proverbs 15:29) "Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth His will, him He heareth." (John 9:31)
As Christians, it’s the will of God that we pray in the name of His holy and only Son, Christ Jesus. However, for God to hear us we are to do His will and pray for His will. And what is the will of God? To exalt God the Father (Daniel 2:20, Matthew 6:9); to believe in His Son (John 6:29); to repent (Matthew 3:2); to be saved according to the Holy Scriptures (John 3:16); to embrace Christ as our the only Savior and LORD (Romans 10:9); to be sanctified by His word (John 17:17); to be humble (1 Peter 5:6, James 4:10); to trust and submit to God in all things (Proverbs 3:5, James 4:7); and to be always be grateful (Colossians 3:15).
Please note, the purpose of the Holy Spirit is to lead us into truth, (John 14:16), to strengthen us to be more like Christ. Jesus Christ calls the Holy Spirit the Comforter, and the only way we become more like Jesus Christ is, if we know Him according to the Holy Scriptures. There is no other way for us to know Who Christ, but by the Holy Scriptures. This is a fact. And there is no other way for the Holy Spirit to work BUT by the Holy Scriptures. Why? We know that the Holy Spirit wrote the Holy Scriptures, (2 Peter 1:21). Thus, if we know the Holy Scriptures we know what to pray for, for in Scriptures are the complete revelations of God.
So knowing the truth, why is Francis promoting an event of prayer and spiritual renewal? He is embracing ecumenism or an ecumenical movement.
What is an ecumenical movement?
“The ecumenical movement is the brain child of the Roman Catholic Church. This moment had its beginning in the Second Vatican Council held in Rome from 1962 to 1965. The primary purpose of the ecumenical movement is to draw individuals, groups and churches back into the Roman Catholic religious system. The eventual goal is to enslave all people under the Roman pontiff as head of the “Universal Church”. The movement employs various techniques that range from joint declarations of faith to stadium events filled with people from various denominations. All are encouraged to be united through emotional experiences instead of Biblical truth.” -Richard Bennett, former Roman Catholic Priest
"The way Islam teaches God's character, His being is very different from Christianity. The Christian God is triune, the Christian God is a Father, an absolutely perfectly loving father. The Christian God is willing to enter into this world and suffer alongside His creation. The Christian God is willing to forgive us of all our sins by paying the penalty Himself. In all of these ways, He is very different from the Muslim [false] god." -Dr. Nabeel Qureshi
In other words, they are both very different. And the true God is the Christian God, the God of the Holy Bible.
Can the Christian be involved in good works with other religions for the glory of God, what God is the Christian and the other religions working towards?
Rick Warren with his Peace Plan wants to work with all the religions of the world to solve the world's problems, it CAN'T be done WITHOUT compromising THE FAITH.
You're NOT saved by works but by FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST.
Warren's Peace Plan is based on good works combined with political strategy with the church. This is dialectic at its finest!
"When the pope was in Washington it is fascinating that he followed the same procedure as any presidency would. His first visit was to the White House, from the White House he then progressed to the Capitol, and there he addressed both houses" -Walter Veith
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." (John 14:6)
"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword." -Jesus Christ (Matthew 10:34)
The sword is the Word of God. "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)
"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you," (2Corinthians 6:17)
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” (2 Peter 2:1)
What Brian Houston stated in this video, Muslims and Christians "serve the same God" defines the false doctrine of ecumenism! Take heed, Brian Houston is a false prophet and a heretic!
