Hi! 🙋🏻♀️ <- person with zero tennis knowledge
I'm interested in tennis strategy and playstyle. Watched a few matches and a few youtube vids but i'm struggling to understand any of that ngl like why is it bad if one guy is better at backhands than the other 😭 i only truly understand: more stamina = good & make your opponent run around as much as you can so they'll screw up more(?)
I know this is like, very silly but it would be great if you can explain/point the way to understanding any if those.
Thanks!!!
hey hey hey :3 the most basic idea is you want to aim towards the other person’s weaknesses, and eventually be in the attacking position in the rally.
if you’re serving, you want to hit an ace, or another good serve that will either go unreturned or set you up for an easy put-away. if you’re returning, you want to return deep in the court, to get the rally at least to neutral, so you can eventually make your move.
to answer the question more directly, if one player is better at backhands than the other (assuming their forehands are even), that’s not bad. it’s just bad for the player with worse backhands. see also, stefanos tsitsipas’ being 0-3 in matches against alex michelsen. mostly because then if the rally is going backhand to backhand, that player is more likely to make the mistake and lose the point.
and yes! moving your opponent around the court is a great tool. just be sure you’re hitting good quality shots (ie not in their strike zone) because otherwise you’re just giving them a good angle to hit a winner off of lol
gianna (leader?) and eda getting a quiet moment maybe? it kind of sounds like they would need one after All That. Draw Lesbiabs (?) Friwnds
Hi. So you said "quiet" and not "good"
wait ok Tobias doing the Evil Thing with the ancient forbidden magic to inquisitor. that was a Major Act of Terror and also caused an extremely devastating war right. does that make it myrid 9/11

They kiss until they’re out of breath. One of Valtteri’s legs has somehow ended up between Lewis’s; he can feel him there, the warmth of his arousal, in the way he’s grinding into Val’s thigh. It is going straight to his groin, the unabashedness of it, the nakedness of Lewis’s desire.
“You wanted me to do this,” Valtteri says in the space between them.
Lewis grins slowly. “Yeah,” he admits shamelessly. He is breathing hard, face flushed.
“Is that why you did all that tonight?”
He tilts his head and grins. “Maybe.”
Valtteri sighs. “You’re terrible,” he says, but he’s grinning too. He cannot remember why he was angry in the first place.
Lewis looks smug. “Your dick disagrees.”
Valtteri looks down in the space between them, and then up at Lewis, at his bright eyes, his slightly breathless smile, the smudged kohl. Then, in one swift move, he lifts Lewis up. Lewis laughs, surprised, his legs winding around Valtteri’s waist. “Assertive,” he notes, leaning in to kiss Valtteri.
“You know me,” says Valtteri as he takes them to the bedroom, “I get things done.”
