i dont even ship them but the meme was fitting lol
I don't really see Eddy and Lee being an actual thing since Lee just wants a lapdog and not a boyfriend. Things haven't changed much now that they're adults and she's still a little infatuated and possessive of him, while he's still annoyed with her and scared shitless. That doesn't stop him from going to her for help as a last resort though. Usually when he's got beef with people cause he knows damn well he cant fight but doesn't wanna admit it 😂
Most I see happening is Eddy marrying Lee the moment he found out there's married couples that have lower tax bills (he asked Double D first, but Double D refused to marry his best friend for that reason so he went to someone who wouldn't say no). Then Eddy would instantly regret it and end up filing for a divorce after a few days along with filing for a restraining order against her on top of it.... Just to break that restraining order the moment he needed her to fight people off he had beef with again.
“You’re my sweet little man,” Lee cooed tickling Eddy’s chin.
“Hey, two things! I’m not sweet and I’m tall!” Eddy argued standing as tall as he could. It didn’t help that he only reached Lee’s shoulders.
Lee snickered. “You’re barely taller than me! You’re still little in my book.”
“Well, you’re my… sarcastic carrot head!” Eddy said wrapping his arm around his waist and pulling her close.
“Oh, how nice. Now I can get us tickets to replicas of me dancing around,” Lee said sarcastically.
“See what I mean?” Eddy pointed out.
They were quiet for a moment as they continued their walk in the cul-de-sac. The nice fresh spring air was here. They were starting to get fidgety being cooped up inside all winter.
“Say, I got a question for you,” Lee said.
“Yeah?”
“Are you even going to ask me to the prom? It’s in two weeks!”
Eddy looked up at her peculiarly. “Aren’t we already going?”
Lee’s mouth contorted. Eddy was curious about how her eyes reacted. He hoped someday that she’d pin her hair back. Lee really had a beautiful face.
“I don’t know. We’ve only been dating for two months,” she shrugged her shoulders.
“And that don’t mean we’re goin’ to prom together?” Eddy asked as if she were insane.
Lee’s eyes, or her face, dipped to the ground.
“What’s up?” Eddy asked, worry setting in.
Lee shrugged.
Eddy tickled at her sides. “Come on, talk to me! You can’t hide secrets from me and you know it!”
Lee shoved Eddy away. “Get off!” As aggravated as she sounded Lee couldn’t hide the smile. “Just… being around all the guys my mom has been with, well, they haven’t been the most honest.”
Eddy huffed. “Yeah, I don’t think I’m one of those guys your mom has dated.”
Her head swiftly turned, her mouth gaped. “You makin’ fun of my mom?”
“No, I’m not! I’m just sayin’ I’d never hurt you!”
Lee crossed her arms. “Well, I ain’t goin’!”
“Where?” A confused Eddy asked.
“To the prom, where else?” Lee shouted, leaning over to yell into Eddy’s face.
“Why not? What I do?”
“You didn’t ask me!” Lee marched on with her nose up in the air.
“You just said you’d go even though I didn’t ask!”
“But, yah didn’t!” Lee argued.
“Will yah go if I do ask?”
“Depends.”
“On what?” Eddy asked wiping a hand down his face.
Lee smiled slyly. “On your entertainment and how genuine you make it.”
Rolling his eyes, Eddy got down on one knee. This surprised Lee. “Oh far gal with orange carrot top hair, will thee go to the prom with me?”
Smiling, Lee dipped down to Eddy and snuck a kiss. “You’re a sap, you know that?”
“You gonna say ‘yes’?” Eddy asked.
“We were already goin’ in the first place as you said.”
Eddy shook his head. “No, we ain’t if you don’t say ‘yes’.”
You can do a request of Eddy x Lee? if you wanted of course
Eddy’s phone buzzed. Taking a break from all the knee deep studying he had to do for two classes, Eddy wanted to fall asleep. Professors were students once, right?
Taking a look at his phone it was a text message from Lee.
Lee: ‘Hey, stink-brain! You ready to come home and love me?’
Eddy rolled his eyes. Of course, he picked a college that was a little over an hour away from Peach Creek. It was still so far.
Eddy: ‘Two weeks, Carrot Hair. I’ll love you soon.’
Lee: ‘Why can’t you come now?’
Snickering at the almost innuendo, Eddy shook his head. As much as Edd wanted him to he was never going to grow up and be mature.
Eddy: ‘I got school work over my damn head!’
Lee: ‘So ungrateful.’
Eddy: ‘Eh, still worth it.’
Lee: ‘Wow, look at Mr. Einstien!’
Eddy: ‘I think you mean read. You are only reading me, babe! [Emoji with tongue sticking out]
Lee: ‘Oh, you snark monster!’
Eddy stared into his phone. He never realized how much he missed Lee since his departure to school. And his best friends, too. Edd was off studying far away while Ed was still in the cul-de-sac studying at the nearby community college.
Yup, that’s what life was. To think a year ago he was having an anxiety attack about his identity. Hopefully, being a psychologist was worth it.
Eddy: ‘How are yah?’
Lee: ‘Fine.’
Eddy: ‘Come on there’s gotta be more!’
Lee: ‘I just got a job at a hair salon!’
Eddy: ‘That’s great!’
Lee: ‘I Really like it.’
Eddy: ‘You should stick with it.’
Lee: ‘You think I’m good at it?’
Eddy: ‘Uh… is that even a question?’
Lee: ‘Thanks… I just… never know what I’m good at.’
Eddy: ‘You’re great at a lot of things, babe. Don’t ya know who yer talkin’ to?’
Lee: ‘LOL. Yeah!’
Eddy: ‘You insulting me?’
Lee: ‘How could I? You’re my big strong man.’ [Emoji of big strong man]
Eddy: ‘Is that your dream guy?”
Lee: ‘I’m texting him.’
Eddy: ‘You’re a doll, Carrot Head.’
Lee: ‘i better skedaddle. Ma throws a fit over our phone bills. <3 U.’
Feeling his heart grow immensely, Eddy stared at his phone screen. To think he used to run away from Lee or that the latter used to jump him with kisses. There was more.
Eddy: ‘Love u 2, babe. Be home in two weeks. I’ll come home and love you.’
Eddy returned to his studying. That was a needed break. Just then his phone buzzed. Raising his eyebrows in surprise, Eddy picked up his phone. Whenever Lee said she had to go she meant it.
