The docks where shadiness happens.
Kara waited out in the water, floating just below the surface. Batman did tell her to meet him where they had first met, and technically her first sighting of him had been when he had swam up to her ship, investigating it and collecting the Kryptonite that had landed with her. The water was cold, highly disgusting, and actually more preferred then waiting on the docks themselves. There were bunches of swarthy, less than desirable looking characters up there unloading and loading Rao knew what into and off of boats.
At least three shady deals had gone down while she waited in the water, silently hoping Batman would hurry his tightly fetish geared ass would hurry up. This was one of those times she was jealous of the Batgirls and their dark costumes, for the easy blending into the night. While Kara's new costume, still being designed and put together, was a lot darker than her original skirt and cape, it would still be highly impossible to just...melt...like she had seen Batman and his 'family' do on multiple occasions. There was something almost poetic and highly creepy about a six foot who knew how much he weighed man disappearing into almost nothing with such ease.
Maybe Selina would teach her some tricks on sneakery, if she asked nicely and bought her something flashy in payment? Things she would have to think on, later, when she wasn't too busy surreptitiously coming up out of the water for air. Lucky for her many of the men who did happen upon the blonde were hammered on one alcohol or some other substance...she'd already been pointed to, and rumors of a mermaid in the river would soon be circulating much to her amusement. The Little Mermaid was one of her favourite Earth faerie tales.
Finally there was the signal- a slow flash of red from one of the cranes, which could be mistaken for a light, if she already didn't know that that particular area on the crane was free of such things.
Shooting towards land, underwater, she slowly made her way out of the cold, wet confines and shook herself off, pulling off the cap she had kept her hair in so it would be free of the water. She'd worn a wig over it, just for the affect of flowing hair under water and to appease her need for dramatic appearances. Tossing both aside, she floated up to join her adopted quasi-father on the metal ladderwork of the crane.
"Took you long enough, Bats, I was just about to question the need for me to invest in a wetsuit." She motioned down to her body, encased in tight material. "The docks didn't look safe for an innocent little girl, and my ruffian costume is still in the shop sadly."
