I promise I will :). I watch DW for Tennant, but I’m falling more and more in love with the show, with the writing and acting :).

Right, exactly this. It's considered a completely natural and accepted relationship by most of the world, most importantly in Italy where the story takes place, but you know Americans (I'm allowed to say this because I am as yankee doodle as they come), we know what's best for everyone! Imperial system, fahrenheit, militant expansionism! It's exhausting, and people don't even realize how many cultural biases they're carrying with them. I mean, we have a bureau that charges huge fines for TV and radio stations that breach obscenity laws. We bleep out words during daytime radio because we're terrified of the word 'fuck'? We criminalize sex and sexuality so much more harshly than any other developed nation, and we think we're more right for it. It's lunacy. "Oh, you showed a tit during the halftime show, that's obscene! Pay $550,000!" People are just not paying attention to the fact that the rest of the world isn't like us, and in some ways, their attitudes are vastly more healthy and human.

what are you writing fanfic about? I still haven’t seen this so I can’t even guess. Is there people there I can ship? (to me fanfic comes from shipping and the thought of writing fanfic without shipping somebody is like.. is that even possible?? I’m sure it is, but I’m still like ??)

I usually write canonical missing scenes and hurt/comforts, the same is with this one (my latest “Constantine”/CM:SB crossover is an extravagance). I’m chasing my plot bunny, I don’t know if I will publish it :)

I don’t ship if I don’t see it on the screen and “King Arthur” has more potential for slashy/gay ships than hetero ones, and I don’t like that, so no ships in my writing.

Yeah, I do remember. I stopped with s2 on ep6, went to watch s1 and I absolutely don’t regret it. It’s awesome. I know people have issues with RTD’s and Moffat’s writing, but you can’t make everyone happy. I just love how the show is written, the acting is great, special effects are pretty good, too, not painful (although Daleks’ voices annoy me somehow, but that’s the call to the past, I guess). And watching it knowing what Eccleston went through during that time, mental wise, makes it even better. I mean, it was damn difficult for him, and yet he made this role great.

Jack is awesome, too. John Barrowman obviously had a lot of fun :)

Tennant’s time is different, at least based on the 7 episodes I’ve seen so far. He has a different energy, it’s lighter (for now, at least, although the Cybermen eps weren’t exactly sunshine and puppies). It’s fun watching him knowing that it was his childhood dream coming true. But it wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for Eccleston and his time as the Doctor.
