sawyer had been mostly keeping to himself since eden’s party and his fight with alex. he still felt guilty, and he felt even worse for leaving without saying goodbye to anyone, not even eden. it had been a few days, but he still wanted to apologize, so he sent her a quick text asking her to meet him for lunch. tapping his fingers against the table in anticipation, he turned his head every time he heard footsteps, sighing whenever it wasn’t her. after a few minutes, he saw her dark hair and her perfect posture, walking with confidence and ease. standing up, he pulled out a chair for her and let out a relieved smile, “hey.”

“i know that my spy outfit looks like a hangover outfit, but i swear i’m spying. i’m trying to sneak food out of the dining hall and i need to look like a charlie’s angel to do it discreetly,” bridget whispered, coming up to eden and sitting down so as to remain inconspicuous. she was also a bit hungover, but that wasn’t the point, she just didn’t want to pay for breakfast.

long since having given up studying, caroline was lying across her bed, looking up at eden. “i think working this much on one essay has genuinely started to rot my brain.” she said, letting out a sigh. too much studying made her feel restless, and that feeling was only building. rolling off the bed, caroline scoured the drawers of her bedside table before pulling out the bottle of red she’d been looking for. “i hear pinot noir is a great study snack. you game?”
