Ano in your opinion which is the worst development, Yuuto or Yuuri? Really, could the writer make Yuuri's ep without him disappeared at the end?

Just to be clear I’ll be talking specifically about canon characterization, not about fandom opinion or headcanons

Now that’s out of the way I’ll respond: Yuto

Just to be clear none of them have what you could call a stellar characterization infact during the first season both were pretty equal on characterization but since the Synchro and Xyz arc I’ve come to think that Yuri has it better for one reason:

What little they’ve shown us of him, is consistent, yes his only known act so far is: appear, terrorize people or the bracelet girl in turn, laugh and diss out insults, maybe card someone and dissapear for x reason.

Yuto’s character in season 1 had one purpose: He was gateway to reveal the mysteries of the dimensional war, the yu boys and the bracelet girls, he also introduced Shun, then his purpose was met and he in a g-rated way was killed off.

Then come the Xyz arc and his character is so over the place that I have the nagging suspicion that the writers had not planned to bring him back at all (just like I suspect there was not supposed to be and Xyz arc at all) but they had to for popular demand I guess.

He’s a pacificist, he’s angry and vengeful, he’s regretfully violent, he couldn’t control the Berserk Mode or yes he could, they writers just didn’t seem to agree in anything with him.

And consistency is one of the most basic things to make a solid character development, rounded characters may seem to have conflicting traits sometimes because their extended characterization allows for it, but for satellital characters like Yuto is just looks sloppy.

Who wants to hear some Yuu Salad headcanons?

Yuya has been likened to a tomato his entire life, and doesn’t mind it at all. In fact, he proudly endorses it and anything associated with tomatoes, such as a classic dish of spaghetti, meatballs and marinara sauce Michio cooked for his vlog. Needless to say, that video topped a million hits in only two days, and sales of all brands of marinara sauce hit an all-time record in Maiami City’s markets that month....which resulted in a shortage when Yoko went shopping for it. Yuya’s reaction? “Oops,” coupled with a sheepish smile and a shrug of his shoulders.

However, if someone were to liken Yuya to a strawberry or a watermelon -- or even a Christmas tree -- he’d know something was off about them.

Ute (Yuto) is actually pronounced “ooh-tuh”. (IRL, it’s a German name, a feminine version of the more common “Otto”.) Everyone mispronounced it as “yoot”, so it stuck. He doesn’t mind -- he actually thinks it’s cute. Ruri would call him “Cute-Patoot” just to mess with him. She’s a bit flirty and a bit of a troll that way, and it never fails to make him turn red as an aforementioned tomato.

As with Yuya, if someone were to pronounce Ute’s name right, something is very wrong, and he’d know it. 

Hugo (Yugo) has never encountered the Fusion Pun before the events of the series. Nor has he ever heard of a place called Yugoslavia. It’s not like he’d learn about it, anyway, he’s never had a formal education! He does, however, enjoy being likened to a banana, and always teases Rin by calling her a green apple. Speaking of Rin, she was never fond of cabbages in the first place.

Joeri (Yuri) is accustomed to people mispronouncing his name, as he’s heard it for years. If you’re lucky, you’ll get off with a bruise, a scar or a broken bone, just so you remember. But that won’t get you carded. No, what will seal your fate is calling him a purple cabbage. Joeri insists that he be referred to as a dragonfruit (as it fits his dragon motif and is a fruit like his counterparts), and everyone at Academia complies out of sheer terror. During the Fall of Heartland, a few foolish souls had the nerve to call him a cabbage, and it cost them dearly.

Feel free to adopt these headcanons! More details to be added later.
