Well the 3D judge happens to be a friend and a woman I admire greatly. She manages a top gallery and would judge my work with an impartial eye as she has many friends from the arts community at the show. It was great to have a judge who has an great depth of knowledge across all mediums. I was so pleased to be able to discuss my artistic direction with her and got valuable feedback. She stopped back by after judging for an unofficial visit so we could catch up. Another friend came over and asked, out of curiosity, why she chose one of my “simpler” designs as her favorite of my pieces. Her answer was pure art critic gold: Sometimes people get drawn in to the sparkle and flash and you have to remind them to see the beauty and technique in a seemingly simple piece of art. Wise words from a wise lady. Thanks for confirming my current path my friend! @art_st_louis #stlglass #bullseyeglass #stlglassgirl #bestofmissourihands #edhoys #stldesign #stldesigner #stlart (at Ladue, Missouri) https://www.instagram.com/p/BvqHRXhDiH8/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=h59fztg4l8qy
