Had a random thought about an OC:
Okay, so there's Edith, right? She's young, she's a Raithling, and while her heritage isn't certain, it's generally assumed that she is Lord Raith's daughter (inability to feed did not make him celibate after all).
But maybe she isn't. Lord Raith did have several sons after all, some who lived long enough to have a child a couple decades ago. Which got me thinking which of the Raith boys could be her prospective father.
Alain: Lord Raith's younger brother. not likely because he specifically took care not to have children after the twins were born. plus, I specifically place his death when Thomas is a child, which doesn't really work if Edith is about Inari's age or younger.
Gideon: god I hope not. plausible though, I think even the timeline works out. he's careless enough and busy enough that he could lose track of a one night stand. would definitely make him a hypocrite.
Elias: has potential. some timeline issues with his death not being long after Alain's. personality fits though, being enchanting but reserved, the type people wouldn't expect
Madrigal: maybe but probably not. he usually goes for fear (and Tania's already his maybe-daughter)
Connor: nope, died centuries ago
Mircea: timeline works but he's not a lust eater or the type for casual sex
Not super important or likely to be revealed in a fic, but an interesting thought.
