Editing Lesson but it is a 13k massive beast to edit...so might take me a while! But expect an update within a few hours 83
I finally made a dent in the editing backlog :D
4 chapters ready to go for "We're not dead, we're dying" and 3 chapters of The Attendant 3 sent back after first round of edits.
I am actually insane. My beta has to deal with 6 different colors of highlights, depending on what needs to be looked over. Green and yellow can be ignored, things to add into note document and italics respectively. And three levels of editing. First one sent is 'soft edit', I get it back and if needed, highlight the crap out of parts I change (light blue highlights), decided I hate (purple highlights) or something about the wording irritates me but I cannot place what (pale orange). What goes to her and sent back the second time is 'hard edits'. Some chapters only need that much. If one last send is needed it 'FINAL edit' (she never believes meeee)
so....
I also typed up 3k of notes for another Sceo fic. :D
I think I'll be able to shave another 1k off Reverberate through another line edit, bringing it down to the almost reasonable 123k mark.
On that note, if anyone would be up to proofread a potential query letter (I've been struggling to make this thing hit the notes I want it to) and the subsequent 500 word synopsis, I'd greatly appreciate it!
Scribbled out the major subplots of Prince real quick. Surprisingly efficient way to figure out what I was forgetting to foreshadow, whose motivations I completely forgot to clarify, and why the second to last scene just wasn’t coming off right.
Would recommend, if you’re stuck in an editing stage.

Second half of the timeline for Prince worked out! I did a fair amount of general background continuity numbers, too, and should be able to affix the first half of the plot to this later today. Gotta love tangible progress.
Second draft of Prince for Hire is complete!
Some stats:
Word count: 110,853 (down from 136,071)
Chapters rearranged: 13
Chapters deleted: 12
Chapters added from scratch: 3
Characters deleted: 2
Characters added: 1
Subplots successfully weeded out: 0
Subplots successfully bolstered: 3!
Onwards and forwards to draft three. This is where the nitty-gritty begins.
While this edit has made my soul leave my body as Its drained me physically I am really proud of the turn out so far!
