In light of the trailer coming out and its only 3 days til episode 11. Have an Amity theory I’ve had for a bit. Also talks a bit out Lilith and the Emperors Coven.
So starting with Amity. When we first meet her, she is very rude and full of herself. Yet talented and skilled. And when she is angry she typically lashes out which does not seem like her character. She attempts to attack Luz and is okay with dissecting her.
Which of course, is not normal behavior for a teenager, even a goody-two-shoes as Amity is.
So why is she so angry about losing her badge and figuring out the truth and keeping order?
Cause her parents want her to. She never gets to make her own decisions. Her entire life is paved out for her in one neat road. And she has to follow.
Get good grades, keep order, be top student, join the Emperor’s Coven, become the next head of the Emperor’s Coven after Lilith.
Really the only choice she gets to make is who she hangs out with and dying her hair teal, like her siblings.
Now if Amity is being controlled, why not Edrick and Emira? Well. Because the twins denied the control and went and did their own thing. While still getting good grades to make up for it.
They are incredibly strong, alone, and in a pair. So Mr and Mrs Blight don’t bother with them. Focusing entirely on Amity to keep their legacy and good name
It is obvious that the Blight family is wealthy. There are many implications. And if not wealthy, just very well known and a strong mage family in general.
So why are the twins illusionists? Cause like I said, they made their own coven decision, but make up for it by being talented and strong.
But Amity barely got a choice. She does seem very excited about the Emperor’s Coven being mentioned at the Covention. But that might jut be to make up to her parents about messing up and lashing out at school.
Now to the Emperor’s Coven and Lilith
So Lilith is head of the Emperor’s Coven. Basically filling in for him when he is busy. And she is also incredibly strong, such as Amity.
So Amity is Lilith’s apprentice. But why does this coven matter?
Cause it is the biggest issue. If Lilith is to be the next Emperor. Or Empress. She has all control. Which isn’t as bad as the current Emperor’s control. But it has many possibilities to go wrong.
Basically. The Emperor’s Coven is the coven of all covens. The one in control. The entire law. If you’re different or not in a coven. You’re in jail. You’re hunted. Or you’re dead.
Lilith constantly tries to make Eda join her in the coven but Eda resists. Yes, if one is accepted into the coven, they can do any magic at all.
But Eda has that power. She is very anti coven cause she most likely wasn’t accepted into the Emperor’s coven the first time she tried to join.
So Lilith is trying to get the Emperor to accept her in anyway. And he most likely has due to Lilith relying on brute force to make Eda join the coven by now
Then what about Luz? She will probably be the one to stop the whole government brain washing and no one will have to be in a coven. Likely making Amity confused and mad cause what will her parents think?
Well that’s another thing that I don’t know anything about but shhhh
