So Edward took me to a really nice restaurant after taking me to a boutique a little ways from the airport for a new outfit. I tried to just get something from the little gift shop in the airport since I didn't think to bring a ton of cash with me for the trip here and back, but he wouldn't hear it! Told me a beautiful lady only deserved the best and refused my telling him I'd pay him back. Is that too weird? People don't do that when they just met you do they? It was really sweet though. I'll just have to look him up after I go home to pay him back.
But dinner was phenomenal! He insisted on ordering for me and I thought I was going to have to get the wait staff to change my order or just suffer through the salad that is inevitable when my date orders for me but NO! After being sure that I wasn't a vegetarian he ordered both of us the biggest steaks they offered! Complete with a giant baked potato and steamed broccoli! He didn't even bat an eye when I basically stopped talking and wolfed down the delicious food. I chose the dessert when we were done with dinner. I'm a major sucker for apple pie with vanilla ice cream (it's basically a comfort food for me) and that was the chef's suggestion so I couldn't pass it up. Ed stepped to the bar to get us refills on our drinks since I didn't mention it to the waitress (it really just slipped my mind which was more focused on the actual food) and he didn't want to bother her since the place seemed to be hopping.
Our desserts arrived while he was still at the bar I couldn't help myself so I just started eating. I was almost done by the time he made it back (which was really only a couple minutes since the food was delivered) and just stood there watching me, it kinda made me uncomfortable because I could just feel the comments waiting to be said — "couldn't just wait for me?" "Glad you left mine alone" "did you even chew?" — so I stopped eating. They don't bother me anymore but they still sting sometimes. But none of that happened. He sat and ate his own food and then apologized, said he didn't mean to stare and make me uncomfortable but that he appreciated a woman who actually ate and didn't just fiddle with her food.
I think I could fall in love with this man for that comment alone.
After checking the time and the latest schedules for our flights (now delayed til the morning) he asked if I wanted to go dancing instead of waiting around the airport. There was a nightclub above the restaurant and I never once heard a thing – never would have known – the soundproofing was that good! Never been to a club but I do like to dance so YEAH!
We danced and talked
then talking lead to kissing and I thought he was going to ask to find a hotel room of our own for the night but he never did, he was a perfect gentleman the whole time. I almost wish he had.
As I sat here to start writing I realized I never got his number, and I never gave him mine . . .
I just tried looking him up on the internet but all I've found so far is the announcement of him entering Love Island. Almost makes me feel like last night was the royal ball and I was Cinderella. Too bad I didn't leave behind a shoe, not like that would ever work. I'll probably never see him again, but it was nice to get a sneak peek of what a relationship with someone who doesn't care where I come from and who accepts my "quirks" could be.

To get them to dance I had to get them through the first kiss interaction first and didn't realize Knox was here in the background and he is not happy with Del lol (mind you they have no romance bar and are just friends after their horrible date)
