Newmann hc: Newt makes Hermann coffee/tea in the morning out of habit, always somehow knowing which one he needed/wanted more. Hermann says nothing to it but silently appreciates it, always accepting the drink (works both as a domestic setting and during their k-lab days)

it started as just a nice thing newt did for everyone at the k-science lab, bringing everyone some morning coffee and from that he learned that hermann has a preference for tea, but sometimes accepts coffee,, newt keeps doing that even when the lab is just down to him and hermann and over those years he learned when tea is preferred or when coffee is preferred and hermann takes notice of newt no longer asking which he wants and just bringing him the drinkthis intensifies after the drift when newt starts bringing hermann water or orange juice without hermann ever even making it know that he was parched, newt just knew,, (ooh as a way to get even with newt, cuz hermann will never term it as 'thanking newt for his constant generosity', he starts bringing little snacks to newts desk when he notices he hasn't moved from his desk in a while)

tbh i'm curious how this werewolf!au was born 0: like, what was the impulse/inspiration for it?

Honestly? Jack is a predatory kinda guy. And I wanted him to be a werewolf. And I really wanted to remake the Hero short but with Jack as this muzzled half transformed wolf dude beating up bad guys. I still want to integrate that into the comics and hopefully I will in the future (I’ve already pegged it for where I’d like it to occur in the story line, and will probably make the short itself a sort of cold opening, since i sorta started my au in the middle of the story i wanted to tell. OOPS.).Also it was born out of a need for quality werewolf content and having very little to look at or consider anything better than ‘mediocre’. Like, Wolf Among Us is probably the closest I’ve seen to ‘ah yes, this is the kind of werewolf content I want to see in the world’. Most werewolf stuff is steeped in tropes, and they get drowned in bad design and a lot of sexual undertones. It’s something I’m not always a fan of, and I want to turn it on its head in the best way that I can.
