“You’d be correct. I haven’t,” came Herbert’s brief reply. His voice was low and quiet, suggesting fear- but his eyes told a different story. His eyebrows remained raised in surprise, but his eyes were wide in awe and curiosity at the display in front of him. The pair had happened to cross paths by chance. West was headed to the cemetery to unearth his newest research subject but had happened upon the vampire and his own victim.
“I thought vampires were all fairy tale and drivel, but now I see... I see I’ve made a grand discovery.” Herbert couldn’t help but marvel at such a being! Undead yet alive once more. Fully conscious and sentient unlike his own experiments, who were often reduced to a mindless state. Despite their weaknesses, vampires were perfect beings in his eyes. Now that the myth had been revealed to be truth instead, he couldn’t help but feel a renewed excitement running trough his veins.
“I have some questions.”
the vampire licked his lips, using his sleeve to wipe his mouth as he let his victim fall to the ground, stepping closer. he considered the man's words for a moment, the features of his face morphing back to normal, eyes once more a human looking blue.
tate's face scrunched in confusion. this man was nothing like anyone he ever encountered since david changed him--- at least not anyone who had seen who tate really was.
"you ain't scared," tate said, not asking but stating a point. he stopped in front of him, looking the other up and down. "why ain't you scared?" he asked, using a bloody finger to push the man's glasses back onto the bridge of his nose.
