professor!harrington works at a huge university (like the kind where the prof needs to use a microphone because students are so high up they wouldn’t hear him.) Maybe he’s a mythical animals prof? I’m getting like “funky elective that gives students a chance to enjoy their day while still being really insightful and important” energy.
Oh wait sorry this is the GIF set this idea came from; (gif Creds to @decidemp3 <3)
I’m just thinking that reader and Steve start off solely professional. You’re incredibly enticed by his knowledge and creativity. (and don’t get you started on how cute he gets when he starts passionately diving into mythological history.)
It starts so so small, you’d only asked him to coffee to drill his brain for the upcoming midterm. In fact, you was surprised he’d even said yes so eagerly; (almost too eagerly? You quickly brushed it off as your own butterflies.)
It wasn’t at all the fact that Steve had been obsessed with you since you stepped into his lecture hall thirty minutes before the class had even begun. Or the fact that you did that every day after, having to sit dead centre in the front of the room. Right in his eye-line.
Oh he adored you. How serious you were about his course while writing down almost every word he said verbatim. That was impressive, he had made a mental note to ask you if it was a learned skill or if it came naturally.
One thing that drove him completely insane though..(Oh y’know, other than your eyes. Your smile. Your hair. Your thighs. Your laugh. The way your nose wrinkles up when you’ve realized you made a mistake.)
Every single morning when you stepped into his classroom, you’d gaze towards him with those beautiful eyes he loses track in…and you’d shift those pretty lips that he wants to bruise so bad, into a smile before you say;
“Good morning professor, I can’t wait for you to blow me away today.”
and god…he can’t either.
Okay I’m so sorry about that I’m DONE. That’s about as far as my talent goes lmfao. If anyone else wants to take this and run for it pls feel free because I probably won’t 😅😅😅 (pls be gentle I’m so sensitive)
Oh, I found preview pages of the manga Yamamoto worked on before PokeSpe...let’s see...
...urk...uuuuuh...how the heck did this manga last 10 volumes...
...okay, initially trying to copy Mato’s style and naturally going on from there was the best thing to ever happen to his drawing skills. That said, all the more props to him for clearly working his butt off on PokeSpe volume 10 because going from that to this...
Auchi: What’s a woman doing here? Women have no place in the Supreme Court!
Me: One day, your descendants will eat those words, and I’m going to watch and laugh while they do.

*new evidence is added*
Judge: Unless there is a problem—
Me: *flipping through the Court Record* Give me a minute Your Honour I need to examine this
***
British Lady: Excuse me, Your Honour, but I have to leave right now, immediately.
Judge: No.
Me: And here I thought I’d have to raise an objection or something. This judge is somewhat reasonable. Can we keep him?
***
Auchi: If the victim were poisoned, he would have been writhing in pain and raised a huge fuss!
Me: Oh, so when the victim gets a third-degree burn off a hot plate, it’s completely unreasonable for him to yell in pain, but when he’s poisoned, suddenly it’s okay?
***
British Lady: You Japanese are barbarians!
Asougi: Funny, that’s what we were just thinking about you.
***
British Lady: *takes a drink of poisoned formerly carbonated water*
Everyone Else: What are you doing!?
British Lady: As you can see, I’m perfectly fine. Therefore, the water is not poisoned.
Me: …there goes my case…again…
***
Judge: You have earned the right to be called an attorney.
Me: *immediately presents wrong evidence*
Judge: I retract that statement.
***
Me: *glaring at the Court Record* I don’t get it! How could she drink the poison and be fine? Once it entered her bloodstream, she should have–
Me: …oh.
Me: I feel foolish.
***
Auchi: Don’t try to ridicule me!
Ryuunosuke: I’m not trying to ridicule you.
Me: I don’t need to ridicule you. You’re doing a good job of that all by yourself.
***
Ryuunosuke: OBJECTION!
Me: OH YES!
***
British Lady: *grabs the bottle of poisoned formerly carbonated water and throws it on the floor*
British Lady: Too bad there’s carpet here. Otherwise, you might have been able to save some of the water, hee hee.
Judge: Without this vital evidence, I’m afraid I have no choice but to declare Ryuunosuke Naruhodou guilty.
Me: She just destroyed a piece of vital evidence in full view of the entire courtroom how is this not incriminating enough for you I changed my mind I want the old judge back
***
Game: Is there any kind of clue that can prove who really shot Watson?
Me: *100% BSing* Of course there is! There has to be, or else the trial’s over.
Game: Okay, point it out.
Me: …oh, crud.
***
Ryuunosuke: Professor Watson was facing away from me when he was shot! I remember seeing a blood splatter on his beefsteak plate! Therefore, he was shot by the British Lady, who was sitting across the table from him!
Auchi: Do you really expect the court to believe a murderer?
Me: Why not? That’s all you’ve done up to this point.
Me: …and in hindsight, I should have thought of this three hours ago when the soldier tried to insist I shot Watson from behind.
***
Auchi: *opens his mouth*
Witness: Shut Up!
Me: She’s said this like ten times now and you still won’t listen—
***
Detective Waiter: Call me a crime scene thief if you must, but I saved everything I could get my hands on from the crime scene in the name of evidence preservation!
Me: “Crime scene thief?” Are you kidding? This is the third time your evidence has saved my butt!
Me: By the way, are you Kay’s ancestor?
***
British Lady: Everyone knows the Japanese can’t be trusted!
Auchi: I agree! Stupid Japanese!
Me: Auchi, YOU’RE JAPANESE!
***
Asougi: If this isn’t related to the case, I’ll quit the exchange programme!
Ryuunosuke: If this isn’t related to the case, I’ll step down as an attorney!
Me: You were never an attorney to begin with…
***
Detective Waiter: *presents beefsteak plate*
Me: “This is the wrong plate isn’t it”
[fifteen minutes, another cross-examination, and the solving of a completely unrelated theft later]
Auchi: Are you saying this was not the steak the witness was eating on the day in question?!
Me: I KNEW IT
***
British Lady: *finally breaks down and flies off the top of the screen*
Me: You’re going the wrong way, ma’am.
***
Auchi: I can’t believe you beat me! I swear that my descendants will be a pain in your rear until the end of time!
Asougi: No matter how many generations pass, your descendants will never be a match for Ryuunosuke’s descendants!
Me: I mean, you’re both right.
***
Asougi: So, what’s going to happen to British Lady?
Mikotoba: She’s being shipped back to England.
Me: Wait, what!? After all that work it took to prove she did it, she’s not even gonna be put on trial?
Asougi: She’ll be tried in a British court that’s probably going to become important later in the game.
Me: Oh. That’s still dumb.
***
Asougi: After seeing you in court, I can’t help but think you’re the one who was destined to be an attorney, Ryuunosuke.
Ryuunosuke: No way! I’ve had enough court experience for a lifetime!
