so most people had heard macgyver used as a verb right? like even if you haven’t seen or really know anything about the shows, there’s a good chance either you or someone you know has used it before in conversation. its even featured in the online website for mirriam-webster!

and that got me thinking about how it doesn’t exist in the canon universe!

that then spiraled into: what if characters that know mac and are his friends started using it as a verb themselves without mac knowing? im imagining the team throwing it around casually when macs not around, like talking about things they’ve fixed or jerry-rigged during missions, or even in every day life. it probably even spreads to other people they know/have worked with: like the hawaii five-O team, charlie, and possibly even other staff of the pheonix (matty has even used it as some point as well)!

and that brings it to mac finding out about it. it would definitely be accidentally! maybe someone would be actively doing something while talking and it would slip out while they’re distracted, or maybe it happens around the bonfire on a relaxing night or a celebration when drinks have been going around and everyones slightly tipsy!

jack, riley or bozer: “yeah, i absolutely macgyvered that shit”

mac: “you what??”

AAAAH THE BABIES HAVE ARRIVED!!!

i preordered them a while ago from @tsuyonpuu and i’m genuinely so happy with how they turned out, i’m obsessed!!! they also came with a holographic print, keychain lanyards, and a little cut out deco sheet!! they’re going straight onto the cork board for safe keeping and display :D

honestly most of these are meant to be coded/based on either nothing really matters or stone, shield, and steady hand by midnightmix because im currently absolutely obsessed with both of them right now :3

i also plan on changing around pfps soon and maybe even making full profiles for everyone!!! but not going to lie i had already made the ones for this round and did not wanna go back and change them all😭

Just posted my first real fic! It follows my sona/self insert Atlas, and his developing relationship with Grace, Simon, Rocky, and Adrian :)

Heres chapter one, along with a silly doodle, and the link to the full fic (so far), at the bottom!

It’s another foggy day in the biodome on Erid. Thankfully after a few years of development, the eridians were finally able to make a weather cycle, but the fog Grace loves tends to show up the most. Not that Atlas is complaining. It's nice to lay in the bedroom of Grace’s old home, staring out into the peaceful fog as he daydreams. He thinks that it tends to get a bit lonely having the house to himself, but he likes to think he’s mostly adjusted to it by now.

A sudden knock resounds through the house. Atlas is startled out of his thoughts, and sits up from where he’s laying. He wasn’t expecting any visitors today, but he’s also not too surprised. Most days, he’ll get a visit from the other humans in the biodome, or their eridian mates.

“Just a moment!” he calls, untangling himself from his blankets, and heading to the door. He’s grateful that whoever is there has the courtesy to knock, as none of the doors have locks. He really should ask Rocky to fix that.

Speaking of the devil, He opens the door to see Rocky wiggling impatiently, and Adrian standing calmly behind him. “Oh hi guys! What brings you by today?”

“Hello hello hello. Come to check on Atlas.” a monotone voice comes from Rocky’s portable translator. I’m surprised it can keep up with how fast he seems to be talking at the moment, notes blaring out quickly into the air for a moment before the translator can start working. “Can watch movie, go for walk on the beach-“

“Slow down my love.” Adrian interrupts. Rocky was almost talking too fast for the translator to keep up. He manages to bring such life to the dull tone of the translator, it’s cute how excited he gets. “Apology apology apology. We come by to spend time with you.” Rocky finishes.

“Yes, Grace and Simon are busy today. We figure that is perfect time to come spend the day with you. If you are up for it.” Adrian continues. Despite their large size, they always have a calm and soothing demeanor. If the translator were more exact, Atlas was sure that their speech would be just as elegant as they themselves are. He’s hoping he can start to pick up some eridian himself. He thinks that maybe he should ask Grace, since he is fluent in the language.

“That sounds great!” Atlas replies. “Thank you for asking. What would you guys like to do? I’m feeling up for pretty much anything today.” He says honestly. He’s not always up for doing much these days. Antidepressants don’t quite exist in space (at least as far as he’s aware), so he has his ups and downs with moods and motivation. Maybe they exist for eridians? Can sentient rocks have depression? He thinks that maybe he should ask sometime.

“Do not know Atlas favorite movie yet!” Rocky exclaims. “Movie time, Question?”

“Sure! I haven’t fully watched anything in a while. Plus, i’m always up to introducing anyone to Clue!” Atlas says. “It’s my ultimate comfort movie, I think you two will like it! Do you want me to tell you more about it, or do you want it to be a surprise?”

“Would like to know more, but know Rocky likes surprises, so am willing be surprised too.” Adrian states. “Come to our home, statement. We have big screens there.”

“That sounds good to me! Let me change and grab some things first, and i’ll be ready.” He quickly turns to enter his room and change from his pajamas into something more suitable for the day. A comfortable pair of cargo shorts paired with a loose tank top can never go wrong. He skips out on the shoes and socks. He was never a fan of them, and since the ground is artificial, he doesn’t have to worry about injuring himself on a sharp stick or rock. Or even worse, accidentally stepping on a bee.

He looks at the stuffed animal originally made for him by the eridians that had also been in charge of making clothes for the humans. It’s a cute little thing- a patchwork eridian made of a soft fabric they were able to synthesize. It was made upon his request to have as a comforting object, and it has helped greatly so far. Every night he curls up into it before drifting off to sleep, cuddling himself up to the soft plush. He stops momentarily, thinking of taking it, but decides not to for the fear of appearing childish or immature.

He walks back out into the living space. “Alright! I’m ready to go!” he announces his presence, even though he knows that Rocky and Adrian could see him this whole time. He doesn’t like to think too hard about the lack of privacy. Rocky does a little jump and starts scuttling to the door excitedly, And as Atlas goes to follow him, He is stopped my the gentle pat of a large claw.

“Why not bring plush, question?” they ask. “Is for comfort, correct, question? You should bring.”

Atlas hesitates. “You don’t find it weird? Someone my age shouldn’t need a stuffed animal for comfort.”

“Is not weird, statement. Should be able to have comfort no matter what age.” Adrian reassures. Atlas pauses again for a moment, but ultimately smiles and goes to grab the plush.

He comes back and impulsively decides to give Adrian a hug, at least the best one he can give considering the size difference. “Thank you Adrian.” Adrian goes to respond, but is interrupted by Rocky barging back in. “What taking so long, question? Slow slow slow.”

“Hey! You’re the one that rushed out without waiting for us!” Atlas responds with a laugh, and begins to walk out beside Adrian, the previous conversation abandoned, and plush in hand.
