Happy Equinox, friends! 🥚😁
Duanwu Festival The egg balancing is a folk activity of the Dragon Boat Festival.
Okay, friends, it’s Egg-Standing Day. Kid 1, my equinox baby, turns 25 today. I’ve been standing eggs on their small ends to celebrate the Spring equinox since I was a teenager, and I’ve taken a picture of it every year since the kiddo was born. Last year, my hands were so bad I could only manage one single egg, and it took a ridiculous amount of time and effort. After this past year of working out, I’m accomplishing such amazing feats as opening juice bottles without the rubber grip circle, carrying full glasses of water from room to room without spilling, and stacking D&D dice into towers of five or more. I think I’m strong and steady enough to stand eggs again. I was deeply sad last year because I thought it might have been my last year to do it at all. I’ve got some stuff to get done first this morning, but in a few hours we’ll see what's what. Cross your fingers, and if you feel like joining me, get some eggs out and give it a try yourself! 🥚🥚🥚❤️🌹❤️
Wishing you all balance and stability, wherever you can find it in these difficult times. Happy Equinox, my friends.
One of my more useless skills, but still kind of cool.
Happy Equinox
I admit to some help. There might be a divot or something in the countertop. Happy Equinox to all my readers.

Balances a golden egg on her nose. She was staying put and counting to see how long she could balance the thing. “55...56...57...58...”
