Hope you don't mind me taking this opportunity to educate a little further.

If you wanted to curse someone or transfer whatever malignant thing you had on yourself, then by all means make them eat the egg, seasoned even. I think on that we can all agree on, based on the most widespread western laws of magic, but for brujería specifically? there's much theory beyond that.

Logic without the cultural context would tell you just that, this thing goes out, same thing goes in, the net "energy transfered" should be zero, right?...

Wrong. Even just from a physics standpoint, a net zero energy transfer is quite ideal but unrealistic as heck, there's always some energy that's gonna be lost in the process. But we're not talking about physics and energy here, we're talking about spirits who have wills and needs of their own. About the Egg Cleansing:

Remember to practice safely

It's not a close practice so everyone can do it

There's a few rules

I will let you know two ways to do it safely.

Do egg cleansing whenever you need to remove negative energy out of your core and body, spiritually, emotionally or physically. Honestly once very 3 months is fine but it depends on you.

Can your practice it on others ? Yes, in condition they are consenting and that you know what you are doing without harming them

Now into it

EGG CLEANSING :

Get one egg (if it's from your own chicken, it's even better ! )

Let the egg stay on thick salt for a few hours (24h are better, and do it one day before new moon, so you can perform the ritual during new moon)

Or you can put it in a glass of water, where you had lemon juice and salt.

Also honestly you can perform it whenever, you don't need to wait for the new moon, it's all up to you and your beliefs.

When you start, remember to firstly get rid of any energies and ge as neutral as possible. You can mediate for a few minutes or have a praying session with your spiritual guides or whatever you want or belief in in your practice to be neutral and protected.

Rub the egg against you. From the top of your head to your toes. All the body, without removing the egg from you. As you do so, close your eyes and focus, send intention to the egg. Personally I do this prayer (please adapt it based on your guides and beliefs) "I call upon all my guardian angels ( X, X and X ) to come down from the skies and guide me through this cleansing. Please protect me from evil eye. May all curses, spirits, evil eye, negative energies and manifestations sent to me and trapped in my body pass into the egg".

I keep doing this prayer over and over until I finish rubbing the end through my body. Again you have to adapt your prayer based on your spiritual guides and adapt on what you want to remove from your body. This is my personal prayer for that.

Once you have finished there's two options:

You can go to a forest, a river or any water source, or an open space where you are alone (if you do this, you can do the rubbing in the place). Once you choose your spot, turn around (your back must be facing it). Repeat the prayer, close your eyes and throw the egg over your shoulder. Once done, just walk away and DO NOT TURN BACK/LOOK BACK ! this method is good when it is to remove hexs and witchcraft done to you beside the evil eye)

You can do this other thing at home (even if some people aren't okay with this method, I personally use it only when it is to remove negative energy from myself and it has nothing to do with magic itself) . Proceed to cleanse your egg just like earlier (salt and lemon), let it rest. Then run it with the same prayers. Get a glass of warm water (not too warm). Break the shell and let the egg fall into the water. DO NOT LOOK UP AT IT !!!! . If you want to know what's going on, then just kneel and what it from the glass but never from the top. the way the egg will be will give you info about the the of energies. At the end cover the top with your hand and go out of your house and garden to throw the egg away. Preferably, don't look at it as you do so. And just keep walking once you do

Now if you want to interpret, I can help, however again, it can be dangerous for people who aren't protected enough and who don't use their intuition. It's at your own risk !! If you can, use method 1, it's the safest

If you see:

Strings : it's the negative energy that was sent your way. If they reach the top, it's the energy that have touched you and your soul, if it stoped mid air, it's the energy that you spiritual guides stopped. The less strings, the better

Black dot, or blood in the yolk: You have been touched by a curse or a strong evil eye and you need another type of cleansing ritual to remove all that from your soul

If the yolk broke: Bad omen, and mostly be careful with your health and accidents, as it's intentions sent to you

Bubbles: old negative energies that are trapped and that you need to heal and release (can be from yourself or others)

A lot of webbing around the yolk : Foggy and energies that aren't matching. You need to mediate and pray to remove all the bad energies from you. It symbolize your blockages, your own and other people negative energies.
