Book announcement and cover reveal!

My next book, The Egg Knight and the Dragon, will be released on June 30th!

What's this book about, you may ask? Well, it's a fantasy novella. About an Egg Knight. And a Dragon. And the Egg Knight's quest to slay the dragon. Which leads to... complications.

Here's the blurb:

Being a knight in service of the Undying Emperor is not easy, especially for someone like Adrian, the Egg Knight: oppressing the people of the Empire is against everything he's been taught, and if he could, he would kill the Emperor himself and bring his half-millennium reign to an end. But the Emperor is not only undying, but unkillable as well, and no one who dared defy him has ever lived to tell the tale; Adrian himself has been a witness to several futile attempts on the Emperor's life, each ending in complete failure. So he does the Emperor's bidding and does his best to help the common people, but sorely wishes he could do more. "Go and collect taxes," the Emperor says, and Adrian goes and collects taxes. "Go and put down the rebellion," the Emperor orders, and Adrian goes and puts down the rebellion. Another day another zalgo edit another theory only this time I'm actually somewhat confident about it.

Obviously the "test failure" is a big mystery addition to the post and initially I thought it had to do with Schneep possibly doing tests on Jack or Anti in the past or perhaps the Egos Appreciation Weeks themselves being some sort of test.

Until I saw this

And something clicked.

JJ passed.....what did he pass? The Corruption

JJ is the only ego that passed Anti's test. Anti's corruption as he took over JJ during Halloween. Schneep, however, failed. He fought back during Jack's operation and pulled the headphone wires off of his neck. He failed. Or ,more accurately, Anti failed at taking over him.

Okay but consider this: that creepy silhouette? Yeah thats anti in his dress. He likes to crossdress and thats perfectly valid.

That weird ending? Yeah I thought it was cuz "Time is broken" which it probably is but what confused me was WHERE Chase was teleported. A city. A bustling one. He's on a roof top(ish). Kinda a perfect place for JACKIE BOY MAN TO SHOW UP.

Theory: the egos are being brought together. Possibly to fight anti. By who? Marvin of course! He's the only one with magic powers!

I could still be wrong and anti could just be messing with Chase but I like this theory because it indicates a future battle

I have a THEORY!!!

Okay so this might sounds weird or very headcannon-y but here's my theory:

Chase and Anti are brothers

NOW I know it already sounds like a reach and honestly I'll label it as a crack theory myself but stick with me.

I got inspired by this artwork by @graphic-hawk

And it made me think "What if Chase sees Anti as a monster just because of substance abuse and depression?"

Now of course that can't be entirely true when you consider that Anti has been shown to be a crazy motherfucker to the audience (us)

But consider the"Jack is in a coma" scenario and the idea that he has been replaced.....

by Chase.

And we see things from his perspective. He despises Anti because his kids would rather spend time with their uncle than their father (maybe Stacy wanted some glitchy dick who knows) but I like the idea that Anti is just shielding Chase's kids from seeing their father fall apart. But Chase, being drunk and delusional, sees Anti as a demon, taking his kids away.

Of course there are still plot holes and gaps in this theory but I liked the idea okay?
