Mimic Should Not Have Been Able To Disguise Himself As An Egg Pawn
In the IDW 2024 Annual Sonic the Hedgehog comic it is revealed Mimic the Octopus had disguised himself as an Egg Pawn quite often during the events of Sonic Forces.
This should not have been possible. Why you may ask? Well because Mimic is a flesh and blood creature and not a machine connected to the Eggnet. He is not Eggtech and would be recognized as well not Eggtech. This would mean he would have been found out immediately.
While I have seen it suggested that he could have just taken a piece of Egg Tech and used to as a shield, this wouldn't work because of the fact absolutely no one else has ever done it before. If it was that easy Tails could do something like tell Sonic to grab some still working Eggtech to avoid being targeted by Badniks.
On to of that, Mimic wouldn't be able to recreate Eggtech to shield himself because one tech isn't his thing. But also even one of the smartest characters in the series who can give Eggman a run for his money has a had time with Eggtech. As it is very confusing spaghetti code only Eggman understands truly.
