Fairytale Eggtech a la The Little Mermaid but give it a twist

Egg, a siren, is the friend of the Mermaid Prince Wemm who is to be wedded to the fersome King of the deepest part of the ocean-Minute. Egg knows his friend doesn't want to do it and always complains to him about the fact that the only reason he's getting married to the King is because of a contract between the two kingdom's.

Egg feels bad for his best friend and promises he'll help him with anything he needs, something Wemm is grateful for.

Especially because a day before the wedding between him and Minute Wemm ends up disappearing.

The King still requires a bride or else he'll rain destruction upon the mermaid Kingdom and Egg volunteers to take Wemm's place for him until he can be found.

(He's lowkey in the human kingdom trying to take Flame as *his* bride so he doesn't have to get married to Minute)

So Egg, with not much choice, weds the King Minute and is taken to the darkest part of the ocean-commonly called the *end*-where he is expecting his stay there to be miserable given how Wemm only told him horrible things about Minute.

But it's not.

i think egg/minute would be a funny dynamic... egg tells him about the lore going on and share stories and minute nerds out about batman to him and tries to train him and protect him while wemmbu is not there to do so bcs they now live in the end together so may as well become friends with each other yk

Mimic Should Not Have Been Able To Disguise Himself As An Egg Pawn

In the IDW 2024 Annual Sonic the Hedgehog comic it is revealed Mimic the Octopus had disguised himself as an Egg Pawn quite often during the events of Sonic Forces.

This should not have been possible. Why you may ask? Well because Mimic is a flesh and blood creature and not a machine connected to the Eggnet. He is not Eggtech and would be recognized as well not Eggtech. This would mean he would have been found out immediately.

While I have seen it suggested that he could have just taken a piece of Egg Tech and used to as a shield, this wouldn't work because of the fact absolutely no one else has ever done it before. If it was that easy Tails could do something like tell Sonic to grab some still working Eggtech to avoid being targeted by Badniks.

On to of that, Mimic wouldn't be able to recreate Eggtech to shield himself because one tech isn't his thing. But also even one of the smartest characters in the series who can give Eggman a run for his money has a had time with Eggtech. As it is very confusing spaghetti code only Eggman understands truly.

In the end of the day, Mimic shouldn't have ever been able to disguise himself as an Egg Pawn to avoid being targeted in Sonic Forces. Written by Eris the Lorekeeper

Okay so, continuing from yesterday on the Eggtech Little Mermaid au

During Egg's stay with Minute he, over time, grows close to the lonely King and starts to understand why the mermaid is hard on his subjects but the start was rough.

Minute pretty much made him stay inside his own quarters since his subjects aren't used to new comers and Egg was extremely unsettled by it. He was not used to be doing actively restricted and was only allowed to travel through three rooms in the entire castle-and that *included* his own room!-unless he was accompanied by one of Minute's guards or the King himself, someone that Egg felt nervous around because the man was just so...

Cold.

He seemed to be made out of cut marble with the way he just stared at the siren with his dull grey eyes and only hummed when he talked on something to just break the silence.

It made Egg feel so very small there.

He understands that he's pretty much a placeholder until Wemm gets back but to have this mermaid look at him...it makes Egg feel like he was nothing.

At least the man's extensive library was his solace.

Whenever he could or can he was at the library since at least with books he could distract himself from his situation. Maybe he gets a bit more lost then he usually does but he does hope that maybe it does...get better with the mermaid King.

Or he at least starts to look at him.

It makes him curl in his little bed at night-the King barely coming back to their chambers unless he has no other choice-and daydream about when maybe, just maybe, someone might come and save him.

Maybe a handsome stranger...it would be nice...

Now, on the other side, Minute is trying to hold himself back from scaring his bride-husband now!-since he never expected to marry someone as pretty as *Egg* in all his life!

While Wemm, his annoying and terrible friend, was meant to be his bride to be he is oh so glad that he doesn't have to deal with him-he's not sorry for saying that, love him to bits but Wemm is even too much for him to deal with on a *good* day!-and the both of them taking a partner on the side since they planned that out from the begining.

Especially given that they've know each other since they were kids! Really, when he heard the news of his marriage to Wemm he wanted to ask if it was a joke because...well, they're more brothers then anything else.

He knows Wemm agreed since he got his messages by dolphins about his complaints and bickering with his parents.

But, other then that, he finds himself so very blessed that Wemm's best friend agreed to marry him since the minute he saw him he wish it was *him* then Wemm.

He supposes wishes come true now!

But he needs to do his best to court him properly...so he doesn't care him off now...
