I WAS STRUCK BY AN IDEA

Dennis (maybe in his early teens or even preteens?) takes walks in Epping Forest by himself whenever he has a lot of things on his mind, and runs into some kind of shapeshifting fae / forest spirit / etc who decides to take on a human shape and befriend him. The fae decides to base his appearance off Dennis, except a little older.
