Baked French Eggs are a delightful and indulgent breakfast or brunch option. Creamy and cheesy, with perfectly baked eggs and a touch of fresh chives, they are sure to impress your guests.
Ingredients: 4 large eggs. 1/4 cup heavy cream. 1/4 cup grated Gruyere cheese. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh chives for garnish.
Instructions: Turn on your oven and heat it up to 375F 190C. Melt the unsalted butter over low heat in a small saucepan. Melt some butter and put it in four ramekins. Each ramekin should have one egg broken into it. Cover each egg with a tablespoon of heavy cream. Grate Gruyere cheese over each egg and place it on top. Add pepper and salt to taste. To make a water bath, put the ramekins in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water. Carefully move the baking dish to an oven that has already been heated. To make the egg whites set, bake them for 12 to 15 minutes. The yolks should still be runny. Take it out of the oven and add fresh chives on top. Hot bread to dip should be served with it.
