hey i don't know if this is against the rules of asks but should i not interact with your blog if i have no trans or neurodivergent headcanons ? it just seems like many of you state things like "scout is trans" or "engineer is autistic" or "pyro is xenogender" like its just fact when these are never really things that i think about when headcanoning them... i really like waht this blog does but if you want me to stop coming i can stop ^^

oh no that’s not a problem lmfao. we actually are most of are those things and are literally just projecting (as well as exaggerating for the sake of comedic effect)—as long as you’re not actively disparaging us or those groups or whatever you don’t need to worry about it. don’t feel obligated to agree with headcanons you don’t have for the sake of being quirky and diverse or whatever! forcing things for the sake of being cool and hip is always worse and more insulting than the alternative😅

gah, we really hate that we feel like we have to push aside our non-traumagenic origins or over-emphasize our traumagenic origins to "make up" for being primarily metaphysical in order to be "allowed" to talk about our DID.

the trauma(s) that led to the development of our DID hardly even affect us anymore; the reason we still have a CDD at all is because it's gone from a coping mechanism for the trauma itself, to a coping mechanism for our avpd (so many of our headmates are either (A) caretakers that provide affection and care that we feel like we aren't allowed to ask for from anyone else, or (B) vulnerability and fear holders who essentially are there just to feel bad so the main fronters don't have to deal with it--even beyond the Wolf System) and our schizophrenia (certain psychotic episodes have been traumatizing on their own, but beyond that, it helps to deal with the paranoia of being "found out" as a "clinical" lycanthrope, Snail specifically is a double bookkeeper and sentry who keeps the body safe during more dangerous episodes, etc)

for as long as we'll have avpd and schizophrenia (with avpd being a lifelong disorder and schizophrenia, even if there's a chance of remission, most likely being the same way for us), we'll have DID. because our DID now functions to cope with those as opposed to the trauma we faced

but we still feel like we have to "justify" having DID on the basis of it being traumagenic. even though we consider ourselves as a whole to be, at most, traumabased, because we don't consider it to be a significant part of our formation or our function. we feel like we have to talk about the fact that there was trauma if we want to be "allowed" to talk about our metaphysicality, or else others may think we can't have DID.
