The BEASTS OF BURDEN OMNIBUS is now available at all booksellers, and preorders are going out. The Omnibus will be available at comic shops tomorrow. Published by @darkhorsecomics.

Thanks to everyone who supported the book by preordering through their comic shop or bookshop, thanks to everyone planning to pick the book up. And thanks to those out there trying the series for the first time.

The BEASTS OF BURDEN OMNIBUS collects all the material done in the series so far, almost 600 pages of stories and backmatter material (artist's layouts, covers, variant covers and other neat stuff). Includes the Eisner Award-winning stories, "The Unfamiliar", "Hunters and Gatherers" and "What The Cat Dragged In", as well as the one-shot Hellboy crossover (!).

Beasts of Burden has won eight Eisner Awards and a Harvey Award, and has been nominated for several other national/international comics accolades. For only $30 US you can get everything we've done so far in a big brick of a trade paperback.

I can't recommend Nowhere Girl enough. Not just for quiet people, but young folk of all types. It's very much a snap shot of queer youth at the end of the 90's / beginning of the aughts, but the emotions still feel relevant to me, and I think it is informative of that sort of more recent queer history.

I've seen a lot of the younger generation romanticizing and learning about our history from the 60's through the AIDS crisis, but please remember it didn't stop there, it's not done yet! When this comic was made, Marriage Equality was a distant fight yet to be won. Men were regularly still seeing police raids, even in private residences, just for being gay.

And it didn't start there! We're here, we're queer, and we always have been! It is worth a lot just to get a glimpse at what each generation of your queer elders lived through (and didn't).

But hey, please read Nowhere Girl. It's not super long, and it'd mean a lot to an old bitch 🖖🏼💜

My and @ericafails’ graphic novel PARASOCIAL was nominated for a 2024 Eisner Award in the “Best Graphic Album—New” category! I was totally surprised as I didn’t even know it had been submitted; the first I knew of the nomination was when my friend Neil emailed me to congratulate me.

Anyway, the book is extremely tumblr and deals a ton with online fandom and communities so uhh 👀 check it out, you may dig it? Available at all fine book and comic stores, from @imagecomics — a lovely 128-page hardback for $18.99 xoxo

While there are other well-known musicians, including Rob Zombie, Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, and Courtney Love writing comic books, My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way is widely considered to be the most successful with The Umbrella Academy published by Dark Horse. 

First released as a six-issue miniseries in 2007 titled,The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite, it became a surprise hit and spawned a follow-up series with more planned in the future. The Umbrella Academy also won the Eisner Award for best limited series. Gabriel Bá work works closely with Gerard on illustration. (Source Metal Floss)
