I think this was a pretty good episode.
Jefferson and Helga. Honestly, I forgot they were a thing. They kissed, I was surprised, then I remember, oh yeah, they are a thing.
Kaldur’s magic. We never really saw a lot of Atlantean magic in the show. It was cool to get to see it used in this episode. I wonder if it’s permanent, if meta girl will continue speaking Atlantean, hearing Hindi, or if it’ll wear off and she’ll eventually have to learn Atlantean.
Meta girl. I like this character, I hope she gets a name soon so I can call her something other than meta girl. I wonder if she’s an important character in the comics, since they’ve been very obviously tip toeing around her name. I actually thought she was going to be Kaldur’s love interest through most of the episode.
El siblings. Their interaction was great. We see so little of them together, we don’t get to really see what kind of relationship they have. I know they were getting closer last season, but in this episode, it just felt like they really have a good relationship. Kal’s reaction to being asked to be best man was great. I want more of these two together.
Mother Box. For continuously pointing out that Mother and Father boxes are sentient, they are ordered around a lot.
Metron. Well, that was a surprising easy. He looked like he’d be powerful, but he was just tossed like a rag doll, then hit with some lighting. It was kinda underwhelming.
Abuse. It’s hard to see a kid in that situation, even if it’s fictional and a cartoon. I really want Megan and Conner to foster Harper and Collin now. It could be the gateway for Harper to become a superhero.
Vic and Silas. Their relationship really grew a lot this episode and I like how they did it. It probably won’t be (or at least shouldn’t be) smooth sailing from here, but their both trying now and that the important part.
Gabrielle’s family. I’m glad they got closer. That had to be hard to hear, but not knowing must have been so much worse. I understand her’s cousin’s anger, a stranger is wearing his cousin’s face. The stills afterwards really made it all better. Gabrielle’s family may have lost part of their family, but Violet found hers.
Kaldur’s S/O. Everyone knew he wasn’t straight, now it’s confirmed. I just wished we knew something about this guy. Is he Kaldur’s boyfriend? Fiance? What is his name? How long have they been together? Why couldn’t they have a scene together? He better be in more episodes because I have many questions.
