ok so I totally care about byler being end game but wait do I really?
I care more about willel than I do with byler. I want el to be happy. and I love mike wheeler I love him very much but he is in general terms not the best boyfriend. I mean yeah no duh he's 14 going on 15 in a few weeks. he's a relatable and very real representation of a teenage boy. of course he's not the best boyfriend.
I just think it's hyper-unrealistic to be with the person you meet and started dating at the age of 12-13 was it? and end up marrying them. going into high school sweethearts is a different conversation I just think for a show with monsters and upside downs there has been stranger thing- *gunshots* anyway
I just think if byler doesn't ever end up happening I kinda want el to venture out on her own like in season 3 to not depend on Mike. I want her to realize she didn't need Mike in season 4 to "save the world" which CLEARLY didn't actually happen. except for max. 🛒
I loved el in season 3 and I always will love her in every season. she's such a good and well written character. I'd love to see her again exploring things she likes and loves about herself, not needing Mike's helping hand along the way. maybe she needs someone else like a father figure (hopper) or a brother (will or Jonathan) or mother (joyce) maybe even Mike. but not a romantic relationship.
I love her and want the best for her and she can do better than Mike *not Mike slander I love him.* if he gets his act up (which might happen but again he's 14) I'll totally support their relationship. I just want to see Will and El happy and if either one takes Mike for it I'm all for the ByHop twins winning in every scenario. WillEl will always come first and have a special place in my heart.
