I really want to see a deep dive into this friendship that’s been quietly developing behind the scenes. I’m completely convinced the twins are behind Elain’s subtle changes—her sudden, silent appearances, and the way she keeps secrets even better than Azriel (ahem, spy squad, ahem). I’ve adjusted the color palettes a bit, but honestly, the vibes from Elain’s story make me feel like she could be the darkest one, haha—considering the whole espionage angle, the visions (which, if you think about it, are genuinely creepy—no wonder horror movies like Final Destination or Premonition exist), the villain Koschei, and that terrifying lake…

After doing the tarot card style of Lucien, I really needed a matching Elain!

Anastasia did an AMAZING job drawing Elain! I wanted Elain to have an aura of mystery for this commission and Anastasia killed it! I love how Elain looks mysterious and mischievous at the same time, and I loved the black raven she added from one of Elain’s visions in ACOWAR💛

I have always, and will always, love the creepy side to Elain and her powers. While everyone looks at her as this soft, dainty thing, the potential for so much more is lurking beneath the surface, and I can’t wait to see that explored in the next book.

Elain- the rose bloom in a mud field, with a face that brings kings to their knees, and glows like the sun at dawn- personifies light, life, and beauty throughout the series. I can not wait to have a window into her mind in the upcoming book so that once held to the light, her true depth becomes visible. A thing of secret, lovely beauty.

I have wanted to commission @old_arcture for years now and am still in awe that I was lucky enough to win a giveaway from Marina! She captured Elain’s beauty and vibes exquisitely and I am so blessed and appreciative that she gifted me and my fellow Elain fans such a stunning piece 🥹

Book One Elain receives a lot of hate, but this scene, to me, showed that even with her flaws in the beginning, she was a kind person who loves her sister. Elain has shown tremendous character growth from our first encounter with her and I believe this scene showcases a pivotal moment in that journey. I’ve adored reading about the Archeron sisters, their relationship, and individual stories. And I CANNOT wait for Elain’s turn and for her story to be told next.

Elain is easily one of my favorite characters. The way she is written is so beautifully nuanced and subtle. Her quiet strength and perseverance to rise above the label people have shoved her into all in the name of “protecting” her is perfect. She is so criminally overlooked because shes quiet and unassuming and as a woman I feel that so deeply, even when she was warning them in ACOWAR with her visions that all came to pass everyone but Azriel brushed her off as crazy(why their relationship is so perfect fyi). Her story is going to blow us all away and I for one, cannot wait to watch her haters eat their words. I mean, how insanely interesting is a Seer?? Boring is the last adjective I would use. And her clear set up of choosing love over fate and being a spy with Nuala, Cerridwen and Azriel?? Her upcoming story is one of the most unique and intriguing i have seen in a while.
