After doing the tarot card style of Lucien, I really needed a matching Elain!

Anastasia did an AMAZING job drawing Elain! I wanted Elain to have an aura of mystery for this commission and Anastasia killed it! I love how Elain looks mysterious and mischievous at the same time, and I loved the black raven she added from one of Elain’s visions in ACOWAR💛

Elain Week Day One - Whisked Away

@norabraveseeker, @kt-reads-things, @areyoudreaminof and I love to imagine Elain “whisking” herself away on an adventure. With that in mind, we came up with the concept of Elain pulling away the curtain of the Night Court and stepping out into fields of tulips and sunshine. Will her adventures take her to the Continent? Other courts? Places yet unknown? Wherever she goes, we believe with sunshine on her face and determination in her heart, Elain will find the happiness she deserves.

And, yes, maybe a fox accompanies her along this winding road of life 🦊

The letter arrived at dawn.

 

Elain read it three times before she understood what it was saying. And then she read it again because she still wasn’t completely sure. 

 

It bore the golden seal of the Day Court, the sunburst unmistakable. The script was precise. Controlled.

 

Urgent.
Discreet.
Lucien must accompany you.

There are courts who would insert themselves before understanding the full scope of what stands before us. It is of the upmost importance that you alert no one.

 

That last line made her stomach twist.
