Elanee

I wish Elanee from NWN2 would have had more content (I think there was a lot cut there, right?), because I think she has a lot of potential to be an interesting take on the Druid character class/archetype with her being bound to a swamp. At first glance in the game she appears as a typical fantasy elven woman + druid, but I noticed over the duration of the game how she has a very dry, almost emotionless manner of speaking*, or how she is so nonchalant in regards to death as a part of life/nature. Ofcourse, she is not a druid of flowery meadows or calm forests. She is a druid of a swamp filled with, even nurtured by, the dead. Additionally the game offers the spell to summon fucking swamp water into an enemies lungs and if that is not brutal, idk. Yes it's not bound to Elanee specifically as a character, but it's definitely something I always let her learn. Addtionally, there are a few times descriptions of her look, for example how her hair is unkempt and a few sticks or leaves are here and there. That elven woman is literally dirty and doesn't give a fuck! Which is kind of a contrast to her ingame model. Overall, I just got the vibe from her, that she is some sort of "Black Metal" Druid emboding the Mere of Dead Men in a very fitting manner. And I wish her storyline would have been longer and deeper to fully appreciate/explore this.
*I played the game in the German dub, so I can't say if the intention was original, but it works well with her imo
nwn2 had the most diabolical clocks istg
