Q♥️ - Who is someone special that your muse always thinks about?
For Elathain it would be a certain enigmatic duskwight healer he met quite by accident after joining a group of what he would call adventurers. While he wasn’t exactly warned against joining by the friend he followed into their ranks, he was given the impression cavorting with this beautiful mender might prove problematic. Or, more frankly, that Celestin hated Ishgardians and made most of the resident ones uneasy.
Elathain remains undaunted. He finds the independent and taciturn Celestin as charming as he is stunning and couldn’t imagine why anyone would find him scary.
@houserosaire who plays celestin and silvain, who I imagine is lingering on the sidelines hoping he never has to say I told you so
37: Are they more analytical or more emotional in their decision-making?
Answering for Elathain
Elathain has always been strong willed and emotional. Despite his training as a knight teaching him to reign in his emotions and respond to situations with a practical approach, he still very much feels whatever he feels and it can certainly bleed through into his actions or decisions. His chosen subjects for placing his honor and loyalty are the easiest things to drive him to make emotional choices be it making some reckless action or opening his mouth at the wrong time or to the wrong person. He isn’t quite hot headed, but he has a strong moral code and anything pertaining to that can flip the switch if the situation is strong enough. For example he knows his place in the social castes of Ishgard but he would bunch a man for doing something he considered a punchable offense regardless of where he stood in that hierarchy. Whats good for the goose and all that.
37. What are some of your character’s pet peeves? What are some things that annoy them or disgust them?
“When you say peeve I assume you mean things more mundane and personal rather than existential.” He closes his eyes a moment before frowning. “Bawdiness, for one. I understand that is a bit of a broad term but I stand by it. I have neither the time not the inclination to entertain that kind of foolishness. Aside from that.. Barkeeps who water down their ale. Inhumane.”
How does your muse respond to people making advances on them?
I answered this for Lyrin’a so I’ll answer this time for the knight child.
Elathain has only had this happen a very few times and nearly every one of them he’s had to regrettably decline due to various reasons. He’s at least polite about it, assuring them that he is quite flattered but for whatever reason he is unable to indulge them. A few times he’s wished to kick his own ass for it. In his specific position though sleeping with the wrong person on a whim will not end favorably- best to just duck out and hate yourself later.
