I think that Darian and Devin were supposed to represent Radagon and Marika in a way.

Two brothers sharing the same soul, and two separate identities being the same god/sharing a godly soul.

There's a reason why the Golden Order accepted the D brothers, because it's similar to Marika and Radagon.

Unlike the God, the D brothers seemed to care for each other, as Devin avenges Darian by killing Fía, while Marika specifically told Radagon that he would never be an individual God, a level of disdain towards Radagon.

The french localisation of Elden Ring is a little strange sometimes

I mean its fine but some translations change the whole meaning

The Omens for exemple are "Réprouvés" which means "Castaways" which is...well accurate but you loose the "omen" thing

But now that i am back in Nokron in this run and i get my bare ass kicked by the gargoyles (i forgot i had D's legs armor on me before giving it to Devin so i was literally bare ass), i notice that Devin's title is "D, celui qui sourit devant la mort" which means "D, the one who smile in the face of death". Never thought he was particularly happy to be there, between us, unless i missed a post-it on someone's stuff explaining more about what his deal is. Curious translation, maybe i missed it but i never saw anything similar mentionned in the english version?

(Darian's title is "D, traqueur des non-morts" which means "D, Hunter of the undeads". Not much change there)
