#elden ring multiplayer

i really should go live on Discord when i'm doing Elden Ring multi-player because 1: i will find the most embarrassing, entertaining way to die guaranteed (pour one out for every host that has ever summoned me to the Haligtree) and

2: sometimes I go on dope adventures that ought to be shared. like doing Nokron and the Regal Ancestor Spirit with a Vargram cosplayer and a Bernahl cosplayer

Finally killed the Scadu Tree Avatar! They were right. That sunflower's got hands.

And uh. If anyone plays on console, would they mind helping me with the final boss of the dlc? I got a +16 scadu bonus and I'm still getting 3-shot. I usually refuse to do summoning for the final bosses of the main games and dlcs, but I don't think I'm doing this on my own

so my brother and i have been playing elden ring multiplayer together which has been really fun EXCEPT that doing any multiplayer means you're automatically signed up for ALL the multiplayer (which means you get invaded a fair amt, which can be really annoying when you're just trying to do stuff w/a friend).

To deal with this, we have been using the mimic veils to turn ourselves into pots/statues and hide from the invaders. It is HILARIOUS and probably deeply frustrating to invaders b/c as soon as we get the invasion notification, it's like "hats on lads! everyone hide!" and we find a good spot to pretend not to be home XD

[usually a hunter will be summoned automatically and they'll fight it out and get their rewards anyway, while we just watch as inanimate objects from afar]

this last time, the hunter who came to help us decided to get in on the fun and first hide/pretend to be the host and then also became a pot (we tried laying a trap but the invader gave up)

we did this many times in our session last night and it worked 99% of the time- the few times we got caught it was b/c we weren't fast enough with it or weren't in a good place to blend in with the environment. one person invaded us 3 times and only figured it out on the third try.

it's also just really goofy and much more fun than trying to deal with the nuisance of invaders if you don't really want to do the pvp stuff
