After your many years of support and continual cheering on of my incredible sensei Saitama, it will be our pleasure to have you at our wedding! We are grateful for all your support. My Saitama has now gone to his “Secret Base” for the night, but I am sure he would agree that hugs are very much acceptable!

It’s tomorrow... 

It’s strange to think that the next time my Saitama and I set eyes on each other, it will be at the ceremony.

I am looking forward to seeing what he chose to wear. I’m sure he’ll look as incredible as always. 

In not too many hours, Dad Kuseno will be assisting me in putting on my wedding arms, and we shall be travelling to the venue with Bang-san and the Genoslings (all of whom have decided they also want ‘wedding arms’; however it’s too short notice for Dad Kuseno to build eight sets of appropriate arms, therefore he is busy providing them with last-minute resprays to compliment the design of my wedding arms).

....Except perhaps it is too many hours.

I can’t wait to see my Saitama again.

Hey boys! I feel like it’s been a while since I sent an ask... anyway, I suddenly had a name idea for 01. When I was young, my mom had a good friend named January. I always thought that was such a lovely name you don’t see used very often. Since January is also the first month of the year, I thought 01 might like to add it to their name list. So long as they like it of course ^^

Since 01 has been particularly finicky with names, my Saitama and I suggested it to them with the expectation that they would turn it down, on account of it being “The name of another person” as they have argued several times with regards other names.

However, to our surprise, they liked it. 

“January is the first month of the year,” 01 said. They tugged out their notebook as they spoke, and wrote in it. “There are many people named January. However, they do not have the unique identifying quality of being an AI.” 

My Saitama and I exchanged a look, and he grinned. It was clear that Dad Kuseno had been having several long conversations with 01, regarding names. 

“What do you think of the name?” I asked 01.

“It’s acceptable,” they said. “My list is presently Ichi, Proteus, One, and now also January.” 

Dot (formerly 08) peered at him from her project (taking apart a small engine). “You could shorten it like me!” she said. 

“What, like Ary?” 04 poked at the engine. “Does this make fire yet?” 

“No,” Dot pushed his hand away. “I meant like Jan!” 

01 tilted their head, eyes slightly unfocused as they carried out some processing. “Yes,” they said. “I am a non-binary artificial intelligence. Jan is suitable. Grandpa Doctor?” 

“Yes, 01?” Dad Kuseno hid his smile as he peeked around a much larger device he was repairing alongside Dot. 

“I am Jan.” 

“I’m glad to hear it.” Dad Kuseno smiled. “Go ahead and update your system data with the new identification.” 

“Minibot January-01,” said Jan, eyes unfocused again. “Jan.” 

06 pouted. “I want a name too! Can I be June?” 

“Don’t copy me,” Jan said.

“It’s not a shiny name anyway...” 06 went back to polishing her arms. “I don’t want to keep being a number. It’s not people enough.”

Saitama patted her head. “It’s just you, 03 and 04 now, huh? You guys are plenty people enough.” 

“I’m not a guy,” 06 grumbled.

“And I’m not a people,” 03 yawned.

04 blinked. “I’m a guy and a people, and I like fire. Can I be Bonfire?” 

“No,” Dad Kuseno looked at him. “We’ve discussed this.” 

The conversation quickly descended into an argument, in which 04 rattled off a long list of fire-related names and sound effects - Fire! Flame! Boom! Pow! Whoosh! Bonfire! Tinder! Kaboom! Kapow! - and Dad Kuseno vetoed them one after the other. 

04 really is insistent about these names. With luck he will find a new interest soon, and find a name that Dad Kuseno deems suitable. 

Meanwhile, 01 is content with their new name, January (or Jan for short). Thank you for the suggestion, you have saved us all a big headache in convincing them that simply calling themself ‘One’ was not suitable. It would be akin to naming themself ‘God’.

Wait... drama between Garou and Badd?! What happened?! Also how is Hanako and the boys? I hope they are doing well!

As I detailed the drama between Garou and Badd on a previously queued post, I shall skip that part and move on to discussing Hanako-san and the twins. 

They are doing well. The twins have become particularly fond of videocalling my Saitama and I, and keep asking when we’re going to come over next. They also keep asking about Badd, of course. Despite my best efforts, he is still their favourite hero. 

In a private moment, Hanako-san told us they’ve been driving her mad. They have a lot of energy, and constantly want to go to the park, or run around in the vacant lot near their home, or go swimming in the river, or do various other activities with her. 

She said that she’s thinking about the cybernetic leg prosthetics, if only so she can do those things with them. 

“I don’t think of myself as broken or anything,” she said, of her legs. “I get alone fine without needing anything more than the chair. But it would be nice to run around with them again.” 

“You gotta do what you gotta do,” Saitama told her, after which she changed the subject.

In hindsight, I think she wanted advice. But my Saitama and I aren’t the best people to give that. My Saitama does know what it’s like to undergo any kind of cyborg conversion, and my reasons for becoming a cyborg were entirely different. I was broken. And I was vengeful. And converting my body to that of a battle cyborg seemed like the best way to exact my revenge. 

Hanako-san’s situation is different. She lost the use of her legs through an accident, and just wants to be able to run with her sons. In this world of ours, it’s normal for people to have cybernetics, provided they can afford them. But money shouldn’t be an issue. My adoptive father Doctor Kuseno said that she doesn’t have to worry about that. 

Meanwhile her boys are talking about saving their pocket money to buy bikes, so they can go cycling. 

Saitama says maybe Mumen could give them some advice. Hanako-san is concerned for their safety, after all.

I think my Saitama and I will be taking the twins out for the day, as soon as we can. It’s been a while since we did that.

I love that 02 has such a strong passion for green. It is actually my favorite color as well! I’m really partial to the suggestions of green related names too. My first name is actually a color, and my last name is a type of plant. We would have so much in common! If I can make a suggestion for her to add to her list, what about Esme?(pronounced Ez-May) it means esteemed, beloved, and emerald 💚

Minibot 02 is surprisingly attached to the colour. She says it’s brighter and better than the others, so she likes it best.

I relayed your message to her, and she has added ‘Esme’ and ‘Emerald’ to her potential names list. She has thirteen names on there now. Surely it’s time she chose one...

02 says to tell you that you “must be as cool as Mumen Rider if [your] favourite colour is green!” and now wants a plant name for a last name too, “cos bots don’t have a last name.” 

My Saitama says, “Can’t believe they’ve changed so much in three months!” 

It’s true, their progress fast--similar would take a human child closer to three years... 

Ah. I’m thinking of them as children again.

Do you think the Genoslings could help find the ring? So long as Dr. Kuseno is okay with them going outside, and if you guys are with them. They are smaller and can cover more ground where you guys can’t reach. I bet they would be excited to help find something that is so precious to Mama Genos :3

Following your suggestion, I contacted my adoptive father Dr Kuseno to ask about using the genoslings to help search for the ring. He is working on an advanced metal detector that can be programmed to detect only the frequency of tungsten, but it will take him some time to complete it.

The bots are not yet developed enough to go too far from the lab, but I spent some time with them, showing photos of the ring I lost and describing the fight in which I lost it. 01 has taken this matter particularly seriously, and has involved the others in drawing little red Xs on a map of the area, as projected places where the the ring may have fallen. 

Though they are only artificially intelligent bots, and not ‘real’ children, I did not have the heart to tell them we’d overturned the area multiple times. 

The ring has been gone for a week. 

I don’t think we’re going to find it.

Oh oh oh! I have some ideas for a costume! I still liked the costume Saitama came up with, when he said you should look “more demony” since your name is Demon Cyborg. Though it may cause some unwanted attention... cuz gawd damn... My other idea is armor. Your body is already mostly metal, so what about specially designed pieces that could snap on or magnetize to your body, that way you can put them on and take them off easily whenever you want! Just imagine the designs and colors!

I also like my Saitama’s design. However, you are correct about the ‘unwanted attention’ that it might cause. After all, my fiance Saitama was particularly “thirsty” when he designed it.

Armour, however, is something to consider. 

Technically all my plating is armour, but Dad Kuseno and I continue to work on stronger options. If we were to create electromagnetic anchors that held a specific charge, the amouring system could be linked to my core and controlled via my HUD interface. Therefore I could simply put on and remove the armour through force of will. 

My Saitama says this is ‘like in those movies where the good guy reaches out a hand and his weapon flies into it’.

It isn’t quite the same thing, but close enough.

Hey guys, I’m sorry to hear about what you had to deal with while cake testing. Man I would love to knock some heads! Ugh thinking about you guys having to be around that negative behavior makes my blood boil! 😡 Whatever, if stupid people can take the time to be so rude to others, it shows how miserable they truly are. But anyway, let’s focus on wedding cakes! What flavors were your favorites?

My Saitama says I shouldn’t write about the Wedding Cake Debacle because I am still angry about it, but that’s why I want to write about it! 

Those ignorant, bigoted fools! I will not allow them to speak like that to my Saitama! Those stupid, shitty bastards think they can say what they want and be snide towards my fiance Saitama because he is bald and older and we are both men?! I wanted them to choke on their cake, I wanted to incinerate their poser overpriced piece of shit sports car.

But I didn’t, because my Saitama took my hand and started playing with my ring, and he told those motherfuckers, “That’s our business.” 

He had an intense look on his face and they shut their stupid mouths.

Shit, melted the keyboard a little. Moving on, with regards the cakes! 

We tried the following, and have marked them out of ten:

Fruit cake with marzipan and royal icing (4/10)

Chocolate fudge sponge with chocolate buttercream icing (5/10)

‘Naked’ chocolate sponge (8/10)

Lemon sponge with lemon glace icing (7/10)

Lemon and lavender cake with glace icing and sugared lavender flowers (8/10)

Victoria sponge with vanilla buttercream icing (6/10)

‘Naked’ Victoria sponge (8/10)

Chocolate orange sponge with chocolate orange buttercream icing (5/10)

Meringue ‘cake’ with berries (8/10)

‘Naked’ orange and lemon cake (5/10)

Strawberry cake with vanilla icing (7/10)

We rated the cakes based on aesthetic, flavour, texture and density. As you can see there is as yet no clear winner. 

My Saitama and I must work to whittle down our choices, or find alternatives. Badd has suggested we get cupcakes instead. It is an interesting idea, since it would enable use to ensure every guest gets a piece of the cake. 

We shall have to consider this further.

I had to pick my jaw up off the floor while reading about Saitama kicking that asshole out OMG! He handled it SO well too by remaining calm but authoritative. Good job Sai! But Ryouta’s threats worry me, especially because those threats were aimed at Hanako and the boys and it sounded like he was willing to harm them. I know you wanna keep the recording to yourself for now, but maybe also take it to the police? Hanako could use it to get a restraining order and keep that bastard at bay.

Unfortunately my recording only covered that bastard’s threats to my Saitama. I should have had the foresight to record the entire conversation, from his arrival. Then Hanako-san would have concrete proof that the no-good piece of shit is an unfit father. 

Not that he is the twins’ father. 

However, she was furious with him for his intrusion into her home and the threats he made, therefore she has contacted the police over the matter and filing a charge of harassment. 

Both my Saitama and myself are able to vouch for what happened and testify against him. 

Though the police seem to have a problem with heroes, our word should be taken more seriously than that of a bastard, bankrupt gambling addict. 

Badd can testify in Hanako-san’s favour too. And Zenko, if they’ll accept the testimony of a younger person. 

And King. 

Everybody respects King, even police officers. 

Mumen Rider, too...

Garou offered to hold that bastard Ryouta down whilst I punch him. 

If anything happens to the twins I will take him up on that offer.

The twins must be protected.
