so my mom has been making a big deal about voting in the democratic primary for our congressional district & she called me up all frantic about our voting place being closed

so I looked it up and what do you know!? we’re not in the 3rd district anymore, we’re in the 4th, so we’re not voting.

Tomorrow is the deadline to register to vote in the California Primary

Tomorrow (May 23rd, 2016) is the last day to register to vote if you want to participate in the California Primary which take place June 7th, 2016.

Note that:

- You must be 18 or older to register - You must register as the party of the candidate you are voting for or you may not be able to vote [EX: Register Democrat if you are voting for Bernie]

Oh, by the way, for the poor suckers like me who were lied to about this: you can't actually register online to vote. What you can do is fill in your information online, and then you will receive a file that contains a pre-filled out form for you to print out and mail in, which takes several days. So, you know, if anyone hasn't registered yet and still can, get on that because actually registering ONLINE is not a real thing.

hello everyone are you mad about the bullshit Chicago voting scandal that quite probably screwed Bernie Sanders out of getting Illinois? Are you tired of all the shady business going in the primaries of other states that points more and more towards Hillary and her campaign tampering with votes?

Evidently there is a GoFundMe campaign seeking “to secure litigation funds in a bid to change the law to allow voters to request a recount when evidence such as this presents itself.” (source) Citizens can’t ask for a recount according to current laws, but this lawsuit would aim to prove that black box counts are unreliable and shouldn’t be trusted over hand-counted votes when there is a discrepancy between the two. This probably won’t change anything about this election’s Chicago primary but it could lead to nationwide changes to help prevent this kind of shit from happening in the first place. It’s already over halfway to its goal so you won’t feel like you’re donating to a lost cause (and I know saying that sounds horrible but if it was at like 1k there wouldn’t be much hope for it)

I’m kind of - no, REALLY - tired of feeling powerless as Hillary (and/or her supporters) continues to probably steal votes and gets closer to becoming the Democratic Party candidate through illegal means. So at least trying to do this small thing might help. If nothing else it will let people in power know “you know what we don’t like how none of this is adding up so we’re going to do something about it”
