Dear International Friends,
Please prepare yourselves to say goodbye to Canada. I normally stay away from politics, but this info is so important, and we might be facing the end of a country. For those who don't know, the Canadian elections were on Monday, October 19th and the result was a Liberal majority government with Justin Trudeau as the new PM. Now, Mr. Trudeau plans to run a 10 billion dollar annual deficit to increase job opportunities, grow the economy and make Canada a richer country in the long run. It's not a bad plan, if it's executed at the right time and in a period of economic stability. The problem is, though, that right now, Canada is in a recession and our dollar is the lowest it's been since WW2. We can't afford to run a deficit that large; there'a a big possibility that it will bankrupt the country, and would make us heavily relient on other countries, probably the USA or the UK. This reliance, if it continues for too long, could result in Canada losing its status as a sovereign nation and becoming either an additional 13 American states, or in becoming a sub-section of the UK. To make matters worse, the western provinces (Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia) are thinking of leaving Confederation and joining the States. If they choose to leave, that's Canadas economy flushed down the toilet. Those provinces are the most important in terms of national income, and we are so reliant on them for Canadian economic success, that there is no way we can function as a country without the west. If the west leaves, Canada is once again faced with bankruptcy, and the same outcomes mentioned above are strong possibilities. So, prepare yourselves to say goodbye to Canada and hello to America North.
