I’m super happy about the amount of sci-fi adventure this week! Very excited because those are two of my favorite things! I hope you like them too!
Star Catcher
By Sirisha
Summary: When Dex is taken from his home planet to repay his debts, he didn’t expect to be put on a space ship smuggling Star Dust. Star Catcher, the pride and joy of it’s captain Alina was a horrible ship at best and something just above useless space junk at worst. And it is now Dex’s job to navigate it through what might possibly turn out to be the most dangerous mission of their lives. The only silver lining is that it comes with a reward big enough to walk away from all his problems forever. Will the crew of Star Catcher survive the mission? Will they finish what the captain’s father had asked of them? By the end of their journey, will they want to?

Clockpunk and the Vitalizer By HK Lune
Summary: When the city of Cooley is in need of a hero, Dolores Garza answers the call as Clockpunk, superheroine extraordinaire! Unfortunately she isn’t the best at her job: her powers, which let her slow time for seven seconds and see seven seconds into the future, aren’t exactly well-suited for her line of work. More often than not, her older superhero compatriots have to step in to do any real saving. She doesn’t have time to feel sorry for herself, however—The Vitalizer, Cooley’s most feared villain, threatens to destroy the city in search of a mysterious superweapon. He’ll do anything to get his hands on “The Bull,” and it’s up to Clockpunk to make sure he doesn’t succeed.
That’s easier said than done for Clockpunk, however. The fate of Cooley, the seriously-not-stacked-in-her-favor odds, and the loss of her self-esteem aren’t her only concerns: her very strong, very real crush on The Vitalizer might just spell out disaster.

Excerpts From Unfinished Novels #13: Teaser
Character Description:
Dorothea: female, age unknown, gay. She is fiercely protective of those she cares about, and is extremely empathetic and feels all emotions deeply, to the point where some would called her ‘overly sensitive.’ Has a bad temper and is easily angered when provoked, but for the most part is extremely sweet and loving.
Today we get to know more about Dorothea from the earlier quote. What do you think of her?

Excerpts From Unfinished Novels #13: Teaser
Quote:
‘She and Beth were having a picnic while overlooking the pagodas of Bagan stretched out before them. Everything was perfect; the weather, the food, how Beth’s skin and hair shone in the sunlight, and Dorothea had never felt more joyful and at peace. This was it, this was the perfect moment. She licked her lips, nervous anticipation flooding her system as she reached into her pocket and pulled out the small velvet box –
CRASH!
Dorothea’s eyes flew open and she immediately sat up as she looked around in confusion, her heart pounding from shock. At first she couldn’t see what had caused the noise that had woken her up, but her attention was dragged to the door of their hotel room by a loud shriek. Her eyes widened and she sprang out of bed and leapt towards the two masked figures who were dragging an unconscious Beth out of the room.’
What do you think of the quote from the excerpt? Who are Beth and Dorothea? Why are masked figures kidnapping Beth? Let me know your thoughts!
