Working on my cleaning the lake personal project today and I found this piece of #lakeglass made from an old #glassinsulator I used to collect these, so finding a piece worn by time and water was cool. I'll be keeping it on my tea desk I think. Also, fellow #naturalist out there, when you come across a pile of lake deritus (reeds, driftwood, dried algae) just loaded with plastic and garbage, do you pick out the garbage or just remove the entire pile? I know stuff is used as nesting material.
