I have a few pieces available. Another cup in this exploration - This decal is from an embroidered piece of fabric that I use to apply a slip texture to a green surface. Last weeks bisque. Lots of vases and mugs as well as some small trinket dishes for some glaze tests. Been very lazy with social media recently, I think it’s always good to disconnect and get more in touch with reality. On a more exciting note I’ve got a controller attached to my kiln! meaning no more late nights babysitting my kiln to turn up the temperature every 1-2 hours. #wheelthrown #planter made with #darkbrownstoneware . I’ll glacé this one with a milk white glaze on the rim and in the carved lines. Will fire to a very dark brown in a #cone5 #electrickiln firing.

Firing up the convert kiln on this chilly winter night. This is an old blue diamond kiln that someone gave me. It was a little short on the ware space after I put in the burner chamber. I increased the size by cutting some soft firebrick to shape. That really tested my poor geometry skills but I managed it and now have a decent little reduction kiln. If you want to learn how to fire a gas kiln and all the joys that can be achieved through reduction firing this is the way to go. The price is pretty low and you don’t have to make a ton of work to fill it. It’s also frat for this tests and orders that fall in between regular firings. #pottery #potter #kiln #reduction #electrickiln #nomore #alwayslearning
