1) How many words have you written this year?
AO3 says I've published 70,396 words, and I have maybe 10k more in various drafts and unposted projects. That's less than I would like, but still quite decent.
I was doing Get Your Words Out and hoping to hit 150k words for the whole year, which—lol, at this point, but I also try to keep up the attitude that all words are good words. This has been such a shit year in many ways that having written even that much is something to celebrate.
5) What work of yours got more feedback than you expected?
I've been writing in smaller fandoms and for rarepairs this year, so I've tried to keep my expectations to I hope someone loves this and tells me so. That doesn't always work, but it helps in the longer term, to just let the feedback come as it will, and be patient about its pace.
On the other hand, I was positively surprised that my and @neekerbreeker's DATV collaboration Winged Creatures got such a good reception. :D It's a tiny, tiny ot3, I think we're still most of the tag all by ourselves, but it's been so wonderful to co-plot with a beloved partner-in-crime. And that way I always have at least one enthusiastic audience member—or, in fact, two, since you have been such a lovely reader 💗
