I'm Back(ish)
So, I haven't done this in a long time! Well, that's not clompletely true. You can catch all my musical writing and posts over at The Music Ninja, where I'm the Hip-Hop Editor now!! Hit that link and check out all the posting/writing you previously saw here plus contributions from a bunch of other awesome music bloggers. I've decided I really want to keep doing something with this site, though. Hang tight while I decide exactly what that's going to be. In the meantime, enjoy the meme above and the dope TNGHT mix below. I can't look at that sh*t without cracking up. Never gets old! Although TNGHT, which consists of Hudson Mohawke and Lunice, generally does high energy trap, this mix takes some time to grow on you. Upon multiple listens, I've found that it starts off with a post-chopped&screwed type sound and escalates into straight slaps. Peace and Clom!
Intermission (prod. by Flosstradamus) by Calez
Flosstradamus and hip-hop were a match made in heaven. His trap style dubstep/electro productions sound like they are meant to have someone on 'em and Calez does a great job over this. The up 'n coming artist out of Chicago is definitely worth checking out. His free album, Kids With Raps, can be downloaded HERE. Shouts to Trippy Adrian on the find.
