Lillie was enjoying her usual morning stroll near the coast of Melemele Island when she heard a sudden whooshing noise. She looked around in panic for a few seconds before the guardian deity of the island touched down next to her. “O-oh! Tapu Koko?! W-what...” Lillie was shocked that Tapu Koko himself had decided to appear before her.

Alola sure was a new place for Gengar, though bright. He needed a dark area to keep comfy. The Ruins of Conflict seemed like a perfect choice, walking in completely unaware of the deity living in the place, he climbed up onto the statue and dozed off.

He was comfy, lying on top of it and resting hopefully till the sun goes down.

It wasn’t every day a guy got to meet a guardian deity.  Kukui respected all Pokémon, but even Tapu Koko wasn’t spared the professor’s little smirk.

“You know, if you’re hurt, you should just say so, cousin.  You won’t be able to protect anyone if you’re not feeling your best.”

An Unexpected Bond

I was walking down MeleMele island. Minding my own business, looking at a Sitrus berry. I sigh for a moment, "Just another normal day here" I said. I hardly had anything to do now that I was champion of Alola. Suddenly, I heard a faint cry coming from Mahalo Trail. I then ran over to Mahalo Trail and I found the MeleMele guardian unconscious. "Hang in there, okay" I said as I lied it's head on a pillow that I made from scratch.

Tapu Koko shoves him and remained sort of on top of him. He's gonna make sure this man gets some beauty sleep.

“Wh-Hey get off me! Deity or not, I ain’t goin’ t’ sleep! I don’t need it! Ya boi is fine!”

“Tapu Koko? What brings you out here to Poni Island?” Whenever the deities left their home isle, it was for a good reason. True, they didn’t have enough time to warn each other about the beasts that descended from the sky, it was unexpected, to say the least.
