The first half of the year I didn’t write much. I would estimate less than 5K total. But I was bringing art supplies to the hospital every day because it was kind of a sad place and it helped me to keep my spirits up and i did a lot of doodling and sketching and it’s that whole practice thing. I know logically that with writing, I do exercises to improve for when I write longer things. But with a lot of art I just wanted to go from nothing to the thing in my head. Usually something like the above was going to take weeks if not months. I’m doing a sketch or two a night now. I was making things for S&D but I realized, I am now capable of illustrating Bunniverse. (Yes, there’s about a half dozen illustrations I did over the years, but those were the it takes me months to get this right category.)
I don’t always remember to post here, so just like my podfics, they’re more likely to hit my discord than here; let me know if you want an invite. But also, I’m opening the floor to suggestions of what scenes or characters to draw from the series.
This one is the legal team from Mirkwood, Thranduil in his barrister best, probably having to represent Erestor again due to shenanigans, and Magistrate Eledu, wishing he was back in the basement drinking wine with the butler. Sketchy, line art, and the color version that cut off the hand when I copied it because sketch pad is 9 inches and copier paper is 8.5. Oops.
No, you don’t get to see the first draft where I still almost erase holes in the paper because wtf hands. (Getting better at hands, though)
