I honestly don’t remember what all was going on here. It was set during season four sometime after Klefan daggered Rebekah. Elena keeps Elijah from murdering Stefan for being mean to his precious bb sister. I’m pretty sure I ignored the sire bond completely.
Elijah pov. Elena/Elijah making deals together, Relijah feels. And Elena princess carrying Rebekah, apparently.
Elena literally delivered Rebekah back to Elijah.
Once more, Elijah was sitting on her window seat as he waited for her to return from wherever Rebekah was being stored away. But, this time, everything was happening on her timeline. This time, Elena was the one who held secrets that he needed to hear. This time, Elena was eighteen and a vampire.
Seeing Elena walking into the room with his sister cradled in her arms was not as awkward as it should have been. Rebekah was over a thousand years ago in the body of a woman about to hit her prime, but in some ways she remained the reckless toddler under her big brother’s careful watch.
With his family, Elijah was human to his core.
"Before you take out the dagger, we need to talk," Elena said, walking across the room to stand in front of him.
Elijah stood up and crossed the room himself. He sat down on the bed next to his sister and set a hand on hers. "It would have been wiser to speak with me before bringing her to me, then."
"I'm not going to keep your sister hostage," Elena said.
Elijah let those words sink into his bones. He'd only exchanged a few words with her, but already, what he understood about her had shifted in a subtle, but important, way. It was always understood that, between them, their respected families came first. But this was the first time either of them had been so frank about not using family as leverage against each other.
He looked down at the corpse that was his little sister. "This is about Stefan."
"You didn't agree not to hurt him when I contacted you," Elena said, "consider it a peace offering."
"If I don't accept?" Elijah turned his head to her.
She stared him down. "Then we won't work together." Elijah said nothing. She leaned forward and he wasn't sure if it was an act of desperation or something calculated. "You have my word that I will deal with him."
Mostly calculated, he decided. Stefan meant little to him; but he knew how much Stefan meant to her. So Elijah was aware how he was conceding to her when he said, "And you have my word I will not touch him." He smiled. "But I will not promise to hold Rebekah back."
"I didn't expect you to," Elena said. She leaned back. "You already know Klaus survived."
Despite being a klaroline blogger, my favorite original actually is Elijah.
So I was PISSED when I found out that he killed himself for Klaus.
I could understand Klaus dying, he did it for his daughter and all that I understand it, I dont accept it and I would change it if i could but that was understandable.
But Elijah....NO. Klaus was selfish too, in my opinion to even allow him to do it.
Imagine, he died because his life’s mission was complete. To Save Klaus. So he doesn’t get to have a life? He was born to redeem Klaus and that’s it? Really?
I can’t accept it. Elijah of all people should have gotten a chance to actually live a life. Not having to worry about Klaus or being by Klaus’s side all the time, brokering deals, keeping everyone level headed. Like he felt like a robotic mediator in the family rather than an actual bring, a brother!
Julie Plec reduced the Force that is Elijah frigging Mikaelson, to be Klaus’s sibling shrink? That’s all he was? Really? Like no.
This is why I always ship Kalijah. Because Elijah’s first significant relationship with a woman since Tatia was Katherine. Granted she shared a face, but he knew all too well the difference between them. Honestly, when Elijah was introduced for the first time, I didn’t care if they were able to kill him or not. In fact when Damon thought he had killed him I didn’t even flinch. But when he told Elena of his history with Katherine, I did not want anything to happen to that man. The more I saw him and got to know what kind of person he was the more I fell for him. He could have had a chance to actually have a life, someone to love him and love in return. Even when Katherine and Elijah was together and she had the cure, even when he tried to bargain her freedom from Klaus I was always rooting for Elijah to have a life. I don’t care for the wife he supposedly has or the (thing) he had with hayley. And you tell me that Elijah doesn’t get to live, he gets to die with his brother? You know, if he had taken Klaus’s place in the dying thing I would have accepted it...and Klaus and I would plot to bring him back somehow but I would have understood it (not accept it) understood it. But He decides to die because life isn’t worth living since Klaus won’t be in it? You have sister, a brother, ( a supposed wife) you have plenty to live for. He could have lived a life he wanted to live. Find a life he would have wanted to live. If klaus didn’t want a kingdom and didn’t want to rule and didn’t have witches to see about and doppelgangers to hunt and the cure to find and hunter’s curse to deal with and a curse to break what would you be doing? I wanna know what he was doing in the time frame that he was seperated from Klaus before they joined together when he broke the curse...what was his life like? What would he be doing...would he have a kingdom of his own, would he have a domesticated life? Would he be running a big ass business? But no they basically said that Elijah doesn’t have a life if Klaus dies and its best he dies as well.
Like Forreal...
If only I could do a drabble where that never happened to begin with...
This is a bit of a loaded question, isn't it? Which Mikaelson do I hate the least, and that's assuming that I hate them all. I mean it's obviously no secret I'm not the biggest fan of that family. Look at everything that happened to those I love because of them... if I'm being honest I haven't thought about any of the Mikaelsons in a while. Out of sight, out of mind as they say. I'd have to say Elijah, to answer your question. He's the one that I always felt I had a connection with, we have a lot of the same values. There are a lot of ways we're very different but I'd also say out of everyone in the family he's the most like me.
Interesting points about Elijah! I always thought calling her Katherina was just because he's so old-school, but your interpretation makes a lot of sense too. And he always did have insane chemistry with Elena. I almost shipped them, to be honest. Isn't he also the only dude who got to kiss her (outside of the Salvatores)? Don't know much about Tatia (haven't watched the Originals yet but don't mind spoilers since I probably won't for a while),but his way of saying Elena was always my favourite.
Hey Anon! Yeah it could just be Elijah’sold-school mentality but I always interpreted it as him holding on to theinnocent human Katerina who reminded him so much of Tatia. I also felt that waswhy he took such a liking to Elena (and yeah I could have totally shipped themlol) because he seemed to have a thing for the innocent human doppelgangers.LOL actually in the flashback episode on TO Nina made out with Joseph too(because apparently doppelgangers have an undeniable urge to date sets ofbrothers.)
